Good news on Lions Pro Bowl RB Jahmyr Gibbs. Sources say the hamstring injury he suffered is not considered significant, but the team will be very cautious with rest and rehab to make sure he’s 100% healthy. My understanding is he should be ready for Week 1 vs the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

It looks like the projected Gibbs/Montgomery split is still intact, making them both very fantasy-viable. If Gibbs were to miss anytime, Montgomery should be considered an RB1.

Week 8 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Even with David Montgomery out, Craig Reynolds saw all of four touches last week as Detroit started using Jahmyr Gibbs as more than just a change-of-pace back. Look for Detroit to continue that stretch, giving Reynolds very little fantasy value against the Raiders, especially in a week where nobody is on a bye.
