John Lynch says Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel unlikely to play Sunday

Nov 05, 2026

GM John Lynch on KNBR: It's likely Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel will not be available Sunday against the Raiders.

But the 49ers are getting back Demarcus Robinson and KhaDarel Hodge -- two players who were among the six active wide receivers for Week 1.

Fantasy Impact:

Managers should plan to replace both receivers. Kittle remains a high-end TE1 with a strong opportunity to lead this passing game. Watkins has a deeper-league FLEX case, while Kirk, Cooks, and Cowing remain less dependable options. Robinson is worth monitoring if activated from injured reserve, but his return would spread opportunities across an already uncertain receiver rotation. Purdy remains a QB1 option against Las Vegas.

Carson Wentz trending toward Monday night start

Adam Schefter

Adam Schefter reported that Carson Wentz is trending toward starting against Buffalo on Monday night while Kyler Murray deals with a hamstring injury. Minnesota has not confirmed the starting quarterback.

Fantasy Impact:

Wentz is an immediate Superflex pickup and would enter the QB2 conversation if confirmed as the starter. Murray managers should secure Wentz or choose a Sunday alternative before leaving themselves exposed to Monday’s late decision. Jefferson remains a WR1, Addison a WR3/FLEX, and Hockenson a lower-end TE1. Wentz’s potential start does not make Jennings or Minnesota’s other secondary receivers dependable fantasy options.

Chargers designate David Njoku to return from injured reserve

Alex Insdorf

Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh announces IR return windows have opened for LB Denzel Perryman and TE David Njoku.

Fantasy Impact:

Njoku is a reasonable stash in deeper leagues and for managers piecing together tight end production. He needs activation and evidence of a useful receiving role before becoming a trustworthy streamer. His return would add competition for Gadsden and Kolar, making both harder to trust if the Chargers divide tight end routes. McConkey remains the preferred fantasy receiver in this passing game.

Rams open Terrance Ferguson’s return window

Gary Klein

yesterday · 5:23 PM EST

Rams will open window to return for TE Terrance Ferguson, who will practice today, McVay said.

Fantasy Impact:

Ferguson is worth stashing for managers searching for help at tight end, particularly in deeper leagues and formats that reward the position. A meaningful receiving role could eventually push him into the TE1 streaming conversation, but opening his window does not establish his Week 9 availability or workload. Keep another starter available.
