Short on time, setting your DFS lineups? These quick positional rankings cover the top skill players on both FanDuel and DraftKings for the week. I’ll publish the first look each Friday morning, then update by Sunday morning to reflect injury news from Friday practices and Saturday travel reports. Think of these rankings as a snapshot of how I see the slate shaping up, along with the players I expect to have exposure to in my own lineups.
FanDuel DFS Positional Picks
Quarterbacks
- C.J. Stroud – Stroud should return from injury in time for an indoors matchup against a Colts defense allowing the fifth-most passing yards per game.
- Matthew Stafford – The Rams have the highest implied point total on the slate (27.25), and Stafford leads the league with 30 touchdown passes against just 2 interceptions.
- Justin Herbert – The Chargers are 9.5-point favorites at home, facing a Raiders defense allowing the 10th-most points per game. Herbert is tied for sixth in the league with 19 touchdown passes.
- Trevor Lawrence – Lawrence is coming off a three-touchdown performance last week, and now faces a Titans defense allowing the fourth-most points per game in the NFL.
- Tua Tagovailoa – Miami is a 5.5-point favorite at home against a Saints defense that is allowing the 11th-most points per game in the NFL.
Running Backs
- De'Von Achane – Achane has 294 rushing yards in his past two games and 5+ receptions in his past four games. The Dolphins could run often as 5.5-point favorites against the Saints.
- Kenneth Walker III – Seattle is the biggest favorite on the slate, favored by 11.5 points against a Minnesota team without their top two QBs. Walker has at least 67 rushing yards in his past three games and put up 101 total yards last week.
- Christian McCaffrey – McCaffrey gets a touch matchup against Cleveland, but his price is significantly reduced for the occasion. He ranks second in the league among all players with 81 receptions.
- Breece Hall – The Jets are playing at home against an Atlanta rushing defense allowing the seventh-most rushing yards per game and the 10th-most yards per carry.
- Devin Neal – Neal saw a price increase, but is likely to start in place of Alvin Kamara against a Dolphins rushing defense allowing the fourth-most rushing yards per game.
- Ashton Jeanty – Jeanty faces a Chargers defense allowing the seventh-most yards per carry and has 14 receptions in his past two games.
- Woody Marks – Marks is coming off a career-high 74 rushing yards and is playing indoors in a game with a higher total, but is just the 19th-most expensive RB on FanDuel.
- Travis Etienne – Etienne faces a Titans rushing defense that allows the eighth-most rushing yards per game and the sixth-most yards per carry in the NFL.
Wide Receivers
- Puka Nacua – Puka and JSN are in similar spots this week as large favorites, but I’ll give the nod to Puka at a lower price tag in the game with a higher total and closer spread. Third in the league in receiving yards per game and tied for third in receptions.
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba – Expensive price tag, but leads the league in receiving yards by a wide margin and is tied for third in receptions. Seattle is playing at home as the biggest favorite on the slate.
- Jaylen Waddle – Miami is a 5.5-point home favorite, and Waddle leads the team in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Has two touchdowns in his last four games, averaging 79.3 receiving yards/game in that stretch.
- Chris Olave – Leads the Saints in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns, and faces a Dolphins defense that allows the ninth-most yards per game. Coming off a nine-reception, 70-yard performance last game.
- Alec Pierce – Leads the league in yards per reception and is averaging 78.4 receiving yards per game over his past five games.
- Nico Collins – Playing indoors against a Colts defense that allows the fifth-most receiving yards per game, he is tied for the team lead in receptions and receiving touchdowns despite missing a game.
- Tetairoa McMillan – A tough scoring matchup against the Rams defense, but Los Angeles allows the seventh-most receptions per game in the NFL. McMillan has three touchdowns in his past two games.
- Chimere Dike – Coming off a five-reception game where he scored a touchdown, the Titans will be without Calvin Ridley and could be without Elic Ayomanor as well.
Tight Ends
- Dalton Schultz – Schultz is tied for the team lead in receptions and receiving touchdowns, and gets an indoor matchup against the Colts.
- Kyle Pitts – Pitts is just $5,100 on FanDuel and should see increased work with the absence of Drake London.
- Oronde Gadsden II – Put up 22 receptions in his past five games before the bye, and should be healthier after a week of rest.
