Quarterback Streaming Week 12

The Thanksgiving slate is my favorite of the year. My wallet disagrees since I play more DFS lineups, but the chaos is alluring. We get a full day of island games. Plus, there’s a weekend slate waiting for us on Sunday. But before we get into all the excitement, let’s look back at last week’s results to see if we need to make any process adjustments.

Deep Taylor Heinicke 7.8 23
Deep Davis Mills 9.8 21
Thorough Jared Goff 6.5 25

Having a streamer fall into the top 12 feels new. It’s been a while. Jones threw two picks while emphasizing the importance of a rushing passer. The process hit on the Giants, but two recommendations didn’t pan out as intended.

The Commanders got a pick-six on Davis Mills and held Dameon Pierce to eight rushing yards. As a result, Heinicke didn’t need to push it, and we saw more of their rushing attack. He only had five attempts in the second half. Washington was content to sit on their lead, keeping Heinicke to single-digit day. But I was (partially) wrong about one of the options I was out on for last week.

So, Andy Dalton had 22.2 points on Sunday. Sure, almost half of his production came off a big play or two. I won’t discredit the results. But his opponent is much more noteworthy. We’ve typically avoided the Rams (13.3 aFPA, 7th), but they’re 18th in EPA per play allowed since Week 7. Teams have run the 12th-most plays against them over their last three games. We may have another defense to target as Los Angeles’ offense adjusts to life without Cooper Kupp. Now, let’s look at the Week 12 options.

Top Streaming Pick

Ryan Tannehill (Titans) vs. Bengals

Tannehill's return has been a boon for the Titans’ offense. After two games with the veteran under center, they’re up to 32.5 yards per drive and eighth in EPA per play. Tannehill is sixth in the same category at 7.9 air yards per attempt. Also, his designed rush attempts tripled after another week removed from the ankle injury. Tannehill’s playing well, we’re seeing more out of Treylon Burks, and they both face Cincinnati’s defense on Sunday.

The Bengals (13.5 aFPA, 9th) have allowed 29.1 yards per drive over their last three games as they cycle defensive players in and out of the lineup. They’ve given up at least one passing touchdown in every game this season, with only two interceptions since Week 6. Additionally, mobile quarterbacks have rushed for an average of 25.7 yards against them on designed attempts. Given the Titans are at home, Tannehill offers the best floor and ceiling combination as the top play for Week 12.
