The Giants plan this summer with WR Kadarius Toney: “Let him go out there and practice,” coach Brian Daboll said.

Daboll said in another report Toney is ready to practice and Raanan's tweet added the team will make modifications off that if necessary. Toney shined if only for a brief moment last season before injuries derailed him. The team is deep at WR in name but is looking for a lot more production from the position.

It is all going to be a matter of when the Steelers feel comfortable turning things over to Kenny Pickett.

It’s going to happen. It’s just when, regardless of how Mitch Trubisky plays.

The story went on to say the decision will be based on Pickett's readiness. The story also took a look at the history of QBs taken in the first round and the results are certainly on Pickett's side for him to eventually be the starter in 2022. Keep in mind, this was just an opinion piece, the Steelers and the team haven't said any such thing, nor have they laid out their plan. Trubisky took a majority of the first team reps in OTAs, while Pickett took mostly third team reps, it was pointed out.

The New York Jets re-signed RB Tevin Coleman.

Related Player: Michael Carter

The veteran should run behind Carter on the Jets depth chart, but over his career, Coleman has done more to hurt the fantasy value of a team's backfield.

The Indianapolis Colts are bringing back TE Mo Alie-Cox on a three-year deal.

Related Player: Kylen Granson

Cox and Granson could be asked to shoulder the tight end load in 2022, but the Colts have also been linked to Evan Engram and Jared Cook. Stayed tuned.

In his NFL Scouting Combine story, ESPN's Matthew Berry talked about RB Ezekiel Elliott. "...the internal thought in Dallas is that Zeke is still a legit RB1 and that an improved offensive line this season (and Zeke being fully healthy) will help a lot. You'll still see a lot of Tony Pollard, of course, but the expectation is Elliott still gets a ton of work in 2022, including all the goal-line action. At least for this season, the "death of Zeke's value as a fantasy RB1 narrative" has been overblown. If his current ADP holds, he'll be a value in drafts come August."

The NFL has suspended Falcons WR Calvin Ridley for betting on NFL games while on leave from Atlanta during the 2021 season. The NFL's statement says that the betting took place over a five-day stretch in November. Ridley can apply for reinstatement on or after February 15, 2023.

TE Jack Doyle has decided to retire after nine seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.

Related Player: Kylen Granson

Nothing but the best for Doyle as he enjoys the next phase of his life. Kylen Granson is the top tight end still under contract for the Colts.

Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (foot) did not travel with the team to Philadelphia and will not play Week 18.

Related Players: Ezekiel Elliott, Corey Clement

Pollard is a big loss for the Cowboys. Clement will take on a passing role with the Cowboys in Pollard's place.

Jets HC Robert Saleh told reporters Monday that RB Michael Carter is dealing with a concussion, but has a chance to play Week 18.

Related Players: Tevin Coleman, Ty Johnson

Concussions are never the same, but if you play in a Week 18 championship and need to replace/add a player for Carter, his backfield mates are not the worst options.
