Ravens had three key members of their offense not practicing Tuesday:

Andrews is dealing with a knee injury that saw him miss practice time last week and then saw him get shut down in Week 7, although QB Lamar Jackson said that was at least partly because of Cleveland's defensive plan. It would be nice to see Andrews practice Wednesday, but it's looking like he may not be at full strength even if he plays on a short week against the Bucs. Likely would likely get the start and significant time if Andrews can't play.

Bateman was questionable last week but also played in Week 7, and his reason for not practicing Tuesday was undisclosed.

An already thin wide receiver corps, the Baltimore offense may run even more through Mark Andrews in Week 5.

If Bateman's sudden appearance on the DNP injury report keeps him out or limited during Week 3's romp with the Patriots, Lamar Jackson will have exactly one reliable pass-catcher, Mark Andrews. Despite the team's lackluster receiver corps, Jackson ranks second in the league with 9.0 yards per attempt, though Bateman's 27.8 yards/reception is assuredly helping the quarterback's numbers.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson or tight end Mark Andrews certainly could have qualified for this spot, but Rashod Bateman has flashed throughout training camp, showing off the skill set that Baltimore was so intrigued by when they selected him at No. 27 overall in the 2021 NFL draft.

According to the story, Bateman has shown off a strong connection with Jackson, catching almost everything that’s been thrown his way. He’s expected to take a massive jump in Year 2 with the departure of Marquise Brown, and early on at training camp he’s showing why. The Ravens are expected to be run-heavy, but outside of Andrews, Bateman should see his share of targets.

Brown is expected to play, while Murray is looking to play for the first time since October. Their matchup against Chicago got easier with the news that Khalil Mack is out for the season.

Ravens WRs Sammy Watkins (thigh) and Rashod Bateman (groin) are questionable, while RB Latavius Murray (ankle) is doubtful for Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikkings.

Bateman was a late-week addition and is the most concerning between him and Watkins. Murray's expected absence leaves the Ravens with a three-headed backfield of mediocrity.

The Ravens backfield experiencing another injury. Amazing. Watkins is now on an extended absence, something that has plagued his career.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh told reporters Friday that WR Rashod Bateman (groin) will play Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers. It will be his season debut.

The Ravens will be without Sammy Watkins so Bateman's debut could not have come at a better time. Temper expectations as Bateman works his way into the receiving rotation.

Baltimore receiver Sammy Watkins left Monday night's game against Indianapolis late in the second quarter with a hamstring injury and was questionable to return.

Watkins had two catches for 35 yards before exiting. He and his owners missed out on a frantic comeback victory by the Ravens as well. Boykin was moved to the active roster before the game while Bateman remains out. Duvernay caught four balls for 45 yards and Proche had two catches for 15 yards. If Watkins misses time the Ravens will have to sort some things out at WR behind Marquise Brown.

The Ravens are expected to activate WR Miles Boykin before tonight’s game against the Colts, source said. He’s been on IR, but officially back now. Not yet for first-round rookie Rashod Bateman who has also been practicing.

The Ravens will get some depth back at WR behind Brown and Watkins for their Monday night game against the Colts. Boykin likely takes away some snaps from Duvernay but it could be short-lived as eventually Bateman is expected to be among the team's top-three WRs. However the Ravens are a run-first team and also utilize TE Mark Andrews.
