Perfect Fantasy Football Draft: 10th in a 10-Team ESPN PPR League

Perhaps you’re fresh off a championship, or maybe you’ve drawn the short end of the stick and are picking last in a startup redraft league. Whatever the case, I’m here to help you maximize your back-to-back picks from start to finish.

Consecutive picks can be a blessing and a curse. It’s easy to take the best player available and end up with an awkward roster construction or feel like you’re reaching as the draft unfolds. The key is identifying rounds where there’s a surplus at certain positions so you can build your team efficiently.

In this article, I will walk through my favorite players in each round that should be available to me based on ESPN ADP via 4for4's Multi-Site ADP tool with a discussion on strategy from the 10th spot.

The 4for4 staff uses the Draft Hero software for all of our leagues. Draft Hero syncs directly to your league and optimizes each pick using projections and value-based rankings from 4for4. Draft Hero lets you customize your draft experience with settings on which rounds you want to draft a position, how many players you want at each position, and players to target or avoid.

My Plan of Attack from the 10th Position

Study trends in the NFL Draft to prepare for your fantasy draft. Where a player is drafted gives us insight into expectations. Players taken within the first 50 picks are usually expected to contribute immediately.

In 2024, 10 WRs were selected in the top 50. Three of them, Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr., and Ladd McConkey, finished as top-12 fantasy WRs as rookies. In 2025, only six WRs went in the top 50, while four RBs were selected, compared to just three from 2023 to 2024. This year’s class is deeper at RB than we’ve seen in recent drafts, and that matters when looking for value.

Pay attention to skill position players drafted in the top 10. From 2021 to 2024, those names included Kyle Pitts (10.4 PPG), Ja’Marr Chase (17.9), Jaylen Waddle (15.4), DeVonta Smith (10.9), Drake London (10.5), Garrett Wilson (12.7), Bijan Robinson (14.5), Marvin Harrison Jr. (11.6), Malik Nabers (18.2), and Rome Odunze (8.5). The only player not to average double-digit PPG was Odunze.

This past draft added Travis Hunter, Ashton Jeanty, Tetairoa McMillan, and Colston Loveland to that list. Expect all of them to hit at least 10 PPG, but who has the ceiling to push past 15? Last year, I leaned Malik Nabers over Marvin Harrison Jr. because I trusted his target share. This year, touches and opportunities suggest Ashton Jeanty and Tetairoa McMillan could be the ones to smash expectations.

Finally, use the wisdom of the crowds. Comparing ESPN ADP to the multi-site ADP tool helps you identify players who are over- or underpriced, giving you an advantage on the ESPN platform. For example, rookies like Tetairoa McMillan, RJ Harvey, Kaleb Johnson, and Emeka Egbuka are all undervalued and could step into meaningful roles right away. Buy the dip.
