Saints’ TE Adam Trautman suffered a sprained MCL during Sunday’s loss to the Eagles that is expected to sideline him 4-6 weeks, per source.

Trautman was having a nice game before the injury, catching five balls for 58 yards and a TD. Vannett caught one ball for 20 yards and likely sees an increased role. Johnson is a name to watch as well, having a 2-36-0 line back on Nov. 14, with his best game a 3-21-2 line Sept. 12. He has three TDs total on the season but has never had more than three targets in a game this year.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams logged a limited practice session on Thursday.

Davante is dealing with a shoulder injury but is expected to play this weekend after logging back-to-back limited practices to start the week. Minnesota is expected to be welcoming back Patrick Peterson after designating him to return earlier this week. Despite the looming return of the Vikings top cornerback, Adams remains an elite play and is our number one overall ranked wide receiver for Week 11.

Matthew Stafford couldn’t get out of the way of the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, but he might have dodged a bullet.

That is, if the injury to the quarterback’s left ankle is no more serious than the Rams are reporting, and doesn’t keep him out of practice or next Monday night’s road game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Rams coach Sean McVay said Monday the injury is “a mild kind of ankle sprain.”

“He was sore today, but I expect him to kind of take it a day at a time, but I think he’ll be good to go (in Santa Clara),” McVay said.

He was injured in the fourth quarter, when he rolled the ankle as he tried to avoid outside linebacker Bud Dupree after throwing an incomplete pass on fourth-and-1. He grabbed the ankle and was slow getting up, but he had it wrapped on the sideline, didn’t miss a play and completed eight of 12 passes on the drive to Sony Michel’s 3-yard consolation touchdown catch. Stafford said after the game, “It’ll be all right," the story all said. Stafford playing on Monday night could be an issue depending on how the ankle responds this week in practice. It's worth keeping an eye on.

While meeting with reporters Friday, Packers WR Davante Adams said he will play Week 9 at Kansas City after missing Week 8 due to COVID-19 protocols.

Hearing it from the source is about as trustworthy as it gets, unless it's Aaron Rodgers talking about COVID-19 treatment.

Adams has cleared protocol but will be without Aaron Rodgers for Week 9. Adams sees his fantasy upside take a hit with Love at quarterback but remains an elite talent who can get open at will. Green Bay may shift to a more run-heavy gameplan with Love making his first career start, but Adams remains a top-five option in what could turn into a shootout against the Kansas City Chiefs. Adams is our 4th ranked wide receiver for Week 9.

49ers QB Trey Lance (knee) will back up Jimmy Garoppolo Week 8 at Chicago after being removed from the team's injury report.

Lance will officially be around in case Jimmy G fails to get the offense going against the Bears. That said Lance is not worth starting until he replaces the veteran.

Rams WR DeSean Jackson has received permission to seek a trade and will sit out Week 8.

Hopefully Jackson can land somewhere and continue his NFL career. Jefferson and Atwell stand to benefit the most from Jackson seeking a trade.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams has been ruled out for Thursday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals.

Adams did not travel with the team and was unable to clear protocol. The team will also be without Allen Lazard, who also tested positive. Green Bay is expected to activate Marquez Valdes-Scantling for tonight's contest, likely looking to start him alongside Randall Cobb and Malik Taylor. Amari Rodgers and Equanimeous St. Brown are also expected to see expanded roles. With Aaron Rodgers expected to lean on Aaron Jones, A.J. Dillon, and Robert Tonyan, Randall Cobb is currently our 42nd ranked receiver for Week 8.

49ers QB Trey Lance (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday after missing Week 7.

Jimmy G looked okay at best Monday night, giving Lance a little more of a chance to at least steal snaps under center Week 8 at Chicago.

Trey Lance is on pace to be able to practice on Wednesday, but Kyle Shanahan says that Jimmy Garoppolo will start at Chicago.

Shanahan said he did not go into game thinking that if Garoppolo had one bad game, he would not be the starter any longer, according to other reports. And Shanahan indicated Lance, when healthy, won’t be getting more first-team reps during practice, adding, “You’re not going to start rotating quarterbacks because it’s not an open competition right now.”
