Head coach John Harbaugh said that Rashod Bateman, who sustained a season-ending foot injury last year that required surgery, got a cortisone shot recently, and the goal for him is to continue his rehab and be ready for training camp.

The Ravens are set up with probably the best receiving group Lamar Jackson has ever seen at the professional level if everybody is fully healthy. Bateman is currently ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in fantasy terms, but that still only makes him a modest WR41. If he can prove that he is fully healthy well ahead of the regular season, we could see him sneak up the rankings a little bit.

Rashod Bateman took another step in his recovery from foot surgery, joining the Ravens on the field Monday for the first practice of OTAs.

While Bateman will likely be eased back into action this summer, it's a good sign for an integral part of the Ravens' offense in 2023.

If Bateman is on the field throughout the Summer to learn new Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken's system, there's no reason to believe he won't be the team's WR1. Bateman is a good target in best ball leagues, where his big-play potential has been flashed in the past. He is currently ranked as the WR41 at 4for4, but could be moving up if we continue to get positive reports on his health.

The Ravens have now placed WR Devin Duvernay on injured reserve after he suffered an injury in practice on Tuesday.

Duvernay injured his foot at practice today and immediately there were concern it was a significant injury. It's a big hit for the Ravens who were already short at the position. The team did sign Watkins who was just released from the Packers, but for now it looks like Robinson and Jackson are the top-two with Proche likely seeing more snaps. The Ravens will continue to be run-heavy going forward.

Demarcus Robinson was the latest ancillary piece to pop off, going 6-64 on eight targets in Week 8. We know who the real WR1 is in Baltimore, though, and that is Mark Andrews, who is questionable for Week 9 with his own injury issues. Though the trio mentioned above may run into some extra targets, Isaiah Likely may end up seeing a lot more action, regardless of whether or not Andrews is sidelined. The team may also call veteran WR DeSean Jackson off the practice squad to stretch the hamstrings and run some 9 routes, as well.

Head coach Harbaugh said that Gus Edwards has a minor hamstring strain. Will be questionable for MNF but hasn’t been ruled out. Harbaugh said that Rashod Bateman’s foot injury is more extensive than originally thought. He’s expected to miss multiple weeks.

There were reports immediately after Thursday Night Football that Bateman's injury was "not serious," but clearly, that was incorrect. The Ravens already spread the ball around as one of the lightest passing attacks in the league, so it isn't easy to trust a fill-in in your fantasy lineups. Devin Duvernay can be considered a boom/bust desperation Flex play while Bateman is sidelined.

Andrews was seeing his typical elite usage —five targets on nine routes— before leaving the game with a shoulder issue in the second quarter. Isaiah Likely then took the reins and delivered a 6-77-1 line while leading the team in routes run (35). As for Rashod Bateman, he didn't last much longer and has now become a frustrating fantasy asset, having failed to eclipse 50 yards receiving since Week 3. We'll need to keep an eye on both Andrews and Bateman on practice reports ahead of Week 9.

Veteran free-agent WR DeSean Jackson is scheduled to visit the Ravens on Tuesday.

At 35 years old, it's very doubtful that Jackson would play a full-time role in Baltimore's option, but he would be an interesting addition to operate as another field-stretcher for Lamar Jackson. Tylan Wallace currently has the highest depth-of-target (16.6) on the team, but that's on only five targets. Devin Duvernay has been operating as the de facto WR2 this season and has racked up a decent 1.71 yards per route run on 24 targets, with some of that usage coming in Rashod Bateman's absence.

An already thin wide receiver corps, the Baltimore offense may run even more through Mark Andrews in Week 5.

Head coach John Harbaugh has said that Devin Duvernay has been cleared to play after missing a practice earlier in the week because of a concussion.

Duvernay has had a bit of a surprise start to the season, ranking second in the league with his three receiving touchdowns. There were earlier reports of teammate Rashod Bateman missing Friday's practice, so there could be some extra usage available for Duvernay on Sunday.

Rashod Bateman —who was not on Thursday's injury report— did not participate in the Ravens' final practice of the week.

If Bateman's sudden appearance on the DNP injury report keeps him out or limited during Week 3's romp with the Patriots, Lamar Jackson will have exactly one reliable pass-catcher, Mark Andrews. Despite the team's lackluster receiver corps, Jackson ranks second in the league with 9.0 yards per attempt, though Bateman's 27.8 yards/reception is assuredly helping the quarterback's numbers.
