2025 Rankings Breakdown: Wide Receivers

Our 2025 projections have been released, so it’s time to go position-by-position and briefly explain what I’m seeing as the draft season starts to take shape. This is the final part of a four-part series providing an early look at our early 2025 projections.

Looking back at last year’s article, I highlighted some major hits (Terry McLaurin, Ladd McConkey, Brian Thomas Jr., Jameson Williams, and Rashid Shaheed) along with a few misses (Curtis Samuel, anyone?).

Let’s see who’s shaping up as an early value this season:

13 receivers are extremely safe picks in my view: Ja’Marr Chase, Malik Nabers, Justin Jefferson, Nico Collins, Puka Nacua, CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Brian Thomas Jr., Drake London, A.J. Brown, Ladd McConkey, Tee Higgins, and Terry McLaurin. Sure, there are a few players on this list with potential quarterback issues, but extreme volume should offset any passer liabilities. The first 12 on that list contain the same top 12 in ADP, though the order is different. I remain bullish on McLaurin as Jayden Daniels’ top target, though Deebo Samuel’s presence may have an impact on McLaurin’s targets.
