Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler popped up on Thursday's injury report with a hip injury.

The Chargers are coming off a bye, and Ekeler had no injury designation on Wednesday, so this appears to be a new injury for the Chargers star running back. A late-week injury is never good news, so fantasy managers will want to monitor Friday's final injury report carefully. Ekeler is our fourth-ranked running back for Week 8, thanks to a plus matchup against the New England Patriots. If he cannot go, the Chargers will be forced to deploy a committee consisting of Larry Rountree, Joshua Kelley, and Justin Jackson.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (calf) missed practice Wednesday. 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan is “optimistic he’ll be all right” for Sunday at Chicago.

Bad weather and a slick track did not help Samuel on Monday. Friday's injury report will be the best info we get regarding Samuel's availability.

WFT WRs Terry McLaurin (ankle), Curtis Samuel (groin), and Dyami Brown (knee) did not practice Wednesday.

McLaurin will have limited practice reps each week as long as he is injured, but is expected to play. Samuel and Brown are less likely to play.

Titans WR Julio Jones (hamstring) and RB Jeremy McNichols (ankle) are questionable for Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jones has already said he is playing, just with precautions. McNichols was supposed to have a role Week 6 prior to injuring his ankle pregame. Evans was designated to return two weeks ago and should have a role in the backfield if active.

Washington wide receiver Terry McLaurin was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

McLaurin missed Wednesday's session with the hamstring issue but was healthy enough to log a limited session on Thursday. This is a good sign for his Week 7 outlook, but this remains a situation to monitor. He may get a questionable tag heading into this weekend's contest against Green Bay, but if he can practice tomorrow, he should be good to go. McLaurin is our 10th ranked receiver for Week 7.

Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds (shoulder) was limited during Wednesday's practice.

Edmonds continues to play through pain and looks to do so against one of the worst teams in football Week 7.

The Arizona Cardinals have acquired TE Zach Ertz from the Philadelphia Eagles for CB Tay Gowan and a 2022 5th-round pick.

This bumps the fantasy stocks of Ertz and Goedert. Ertz had 29 receiving yards and a touchdown just last night. Do not expect Ertz to play again this Sunday when Arizona travels to Cleveland.
