Watson is either deciding to play through his nagging injury, or it is passing, but he looks like he will start Week 7. In a pretty decent matchup, he should be considered a QB15 or better against the Colts.

Offensive Coordinator Alex Van Pelt says QB Deshaun Watson will in fact return to practice today. Watson hasn’t had a full practice since Sept. 22.

If Watson returns for Week 7, we may have to temper our expectations after such a long layoff. The quarterback had two 20+ fantasy performances and one 11-point performance in his three 2023 games.

It sounds as if P.J. Walker will continue as quarterback for Week 7, unless Watson can turn it around in the next few days. Walker is not a recommended start, regardless of league size.

Deshaun Watson has missed the last two games with a right shoulder injury and a report last week indicated that a rotator cuff contusion could keep him out for multiple games. Another report over the weekend said that Watson may return to face the Colts in Week 7, but Kevin Stefanski only said that Watson’s status will be monitored throughout the week.

There isn't a lot of new information here about Watson and a possible return in Week 7. The story said there are conflicting reports when it comes to the Browns QB. If Watson can't go in Week 7, Walker would likely get the start again.

Certainly the Browns are not in an ideal situation as they get set to take on the 49ers, but Jerome Ford and Amari Cooper remain solid fantasy plays this week.

Watson's shoulder injury is considered to be short-term.

Thompson-Robinson would get the start if Watson is unable to play in Week 6. It's not a great matchup as the Brown return, they host the 49ers in an early Sunday game.
