ESPN sources: A Dallas County judge just sentenced Chiefs WR Rashee Rice to five years probation and 30 days of jail time that can be served during those five years stemming for his role in a multi-car crash in Dallas during the 2024 offseason.

Now that the judge has ruled, the NFL can expedite its disciplinary process and Rice is likely to receive a multi-game suspension.

We'll keep an eye on things to determine whether a "multi-game suspension" equates to two, four, or six, but regardless, it would be an obvious blow to his fantasy bottom line if that comes in 2025. If/when that decision comes down, it would open up the middle of the field for Kelce, where the two have operated in recent history. If Rice's ADP drops precipitously over a two-game suspension in the middle of the season, he'll start to be an even bigger target in drafts.

Travis Kelce turns 35 in October and acknowledged he's a lot closer to the end of his football career than the beginning. But he said he's not planning on 2024 being his final season.

"I love coming to work every single day and doing this, so I am going to do it until the wheels fall off and hopefully that doesn't happen anytime soon,'' Kelce said after the Kansas City Chiefs' minicamp practice Tuesday.

Kansas City has added insurance here and there over the years since their offense is so TE-friendly, but as long as Kelce is on the field he is going to be a driving force to the team. His regular season workload could very well decline, but that still makes him a huge asset in fantasy.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (ankle) is trending upwards and should play tonight barring a setback. Meanwhile, RB Javonte Williams (quad) is set to return for the Broncos.

Kelce should clearly be played in all lineups in all formats if he is good to go tonight. Even if he is limited, he still has the ceiling to finish the week as the TE1.

The Chiefs list Travis Kelce, George Karlaftis, and Tommy Townsend as questionable for tomorrow vs the Broncos. It does seem like Kelce is in a good position to play, but we’ll see what tomorrow brings.

Teams with deep benches should make sure that Gray is not sitting on waiver wires, but it seems like Kelce will probably be out there for Week 6.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid said both TE Travis Kelce (bone bruise) and DT Chris Jones will play Sunday vs. Jaguars "as long as nothing happens."

Great news for Chiefs to have their 2 stars back. No word on workload, per Reid.

Kelce could have his workload cut in half and he would still easily be a top-12 fantasy tight end. Unless we hear otherwise, there is no reason to put him on your bench in Week 2.

Travis Kelce’s absence clearly impacted the Chiefs’ offense in Thursday’s 21-20 loss to the Lions.

“Trav is getting better, he’s progressing,” head coach Andy Reid said Monday, via Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com. “We’ll see how he does the rest of today and tomorrow and we’ll go from there.”

The story said reports last week indicated there’s a chance the star tight end could return for Sunday’s matchup with the Jaguars. But that’s not set in stone, it added. Gray would likely get the nod again if Kelce can't play in Week 2. Gray had five targets and a 3-31-0 line in Week 1. Luckily for owners, the Chiefs have an early game at Jacksonville in Week 2, so owners will have time to make alternate plans if needed.

The immediate fantasy football beneficiary would likely be Noah Gray, who has popped with decent usage, particularly in a second-year stretch in 2022 when he accumulated 16 receptions for 187 yards and a touchdown in the seven games following the team’s Week 8 bye. Wide receiver Skyy Moore could be the biggest beneficiary, as Kadarius Toney is unlikely to start the season as a bona fide WR1 option, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling is mostly used as a deep threat.
