Colts TE Tyler Warren ruled out against Vikings

Colts

Oct 23 · 2:06 PM EDT

Shane Steichen ruled Tyler Warren out Friday because of a groin injury. Warren will miss his second consecutive game.

Fantasy Impact:

Allen and Downs remain the most appealing Colts receiving options as WR3/FLEX plays. The tight end work could be spread among several players, leaving none of Warren’s replacements as a dependable streamer.

Keenan Allen, Tyler Warren miss Wednesday practice

JJ Stankevitz

Oct 21 · 4:32 PM EDT

Wide receiver Keenan Allen (rest), linebacker Bryce Boettcher (groin), guard Matt Goncalves (ankle), wide receiver Anthony Gould (concussion), tight end Drew Ogletree (ankle), defensive tackle Jerry Tillery (personal), cornerback Justin Walley (knee), cornerback Charvarius Ward Sr. (rest) and tight end Tyler Warren (groin) also did not practice.

Fantasy Impact:

Warren managers should secure a replacement while waiting for a practice return. If he misses again, Mallory and Alie-Cox would share the opportunity without either becoming a dependable streamer. Allen and Downs would have a better chance to absorb additional targets and strengthen their WR3/FLEX cases.

Dolphins TE Darren Waller in "tricky" situation, still a week away from practicing

Nick Shook

Aug 07, 2025 · 5:26 AM EDT

Darren Waller has yet to practice for the Dolphins and it's a "tricky" situation, according to head coach Mike McDaniel.

Wednesday was the Fins' final home practice before embarking for the Midwest, as Miami will have a joint practice with the Bears ahead of the teams' preseason opener on Sunday. Thereafter, it's on to Detroit, where more joint practicing awaits before a preseason Week 2 matchup with the Lions

Related Players: Julian Hill, Pharaoh Brown

Fantasy Impact:

Fantasy drafters are also in a "tricky" situation, as Waller was quite literally done playing football a couple months ago before his un-retirement. He'd probably be a pretty easy stay-away if it weren't for Jonnu Smith's monster TE4 performance in Miami one short year ago. Even with the fantastic opportunity, Waller is best viewed as a streaming option in 2025.

Texans cut TE Pharaoh Brown

Pro Football Talk

Oct 04, 2022 · 7:59 PM EDT

Texans tight end Pharaoh Brown said in June that he expects to be an All-Pro this season. He fell quite a bit short of that.

The Texans released Brown today, according to multiple reports.

Related players: Brevin Jordan, O.J. Howard

Fantasy Impact:

Brown has started three games this season and caught seven passes for 72 yards. Jordan and Howard will see more playing time in Houston with Brown out, the story pointed out. Jordan is dealing with an ankle injury and while Howard caught two TDs on opening week, he's only had a 3-34-0 line over the past three weeks.
