Titans LP Field flooded

The playing surface at LP Field, home of the Titans, was underwater Monday afternoon as the state of Tennessee experienced some of the worst flooding in memory, according to the Nashville City Paper. The Titans’ locker room also was filled with water.

Titans coach Jeff Fisher told the newspaper that he went out to check the team’s training facility, and while the rising waters were getting close, the practice fields hadn’t been breached. The Titans’ facility has three outdoor practice fields, one indoor practice field, a locker room, a weight room and the team’s executive offices.

The newspaper reported that staffers moved all of the valuable equipment into the indoor training facility and surrounded it with sand bags.
