Lemon has lost valuable installation time in Philadelphia’s new offense, and has potentially missed out on the WR2 battle with Wicks for the time being. However, returning more than three weeks before Week 1 gives him an opportunity to regain his projected role alongside Smith. His workload over the next several practices will determine whether the rookie remains on schedule for immediate fantasy relevance.

On Thursday, Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell offered an injury update on a couple of players, but none were more important than his star tight end, Sam LaPorta. Per Campbell, LaPorta suffered a hip injury in practice recently, and the team is holding him out to let it calm down.
“He got hit in the hip, and it just flared up a little bit. It’s aggravated, but we feel good long-term about him,” Campbell said. “We’re just—we’ll rest him for a little bit right here, letting it calm down.”

But when asked if the injury could hold him out at the start of the regular season, Campbell was non-committal.

Campbell’s uncertainty about Week 1 makes this more than a routine preseason absence, particularly after LaPorta’s 2025 season ended with back surgery. There is no timetable yet, but any extended absence would further concentrate Detroit’s targets around St. Brown and Williams. LaPorta’s next update will be an important one to monitor.

Colts TE Tyler Warren is expected to miss about a week with a minor groin injury suffered in training camp, source says. No worries for Week 1.

Time will tell if we see Warren back out there for the rest of the preseason, but it looks like his Week 1 availability is in no danger. Unless we come across a setback, this should have no impact on how we view any Indy pass-catchers.
