Rams RB Kyren Williams is expected to miss multiple games but should be back, at the latest, after the Week 10 bye, per source. Williams suffered an ankle sprain on Sunday.

As Freeman and Gaskin are either freshly off the practice squad, or newly signed, the backfield should be all Zach Evans' for the short-term, making him one of the best adds if your waivers haven't run yet.

The Rams are adding another running back to help offset the injuries to Kyren Williams and Ronnie Rivers.

Los Angeles is signing Myles Gaskin off of the Vikings’ practice squad, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

It's been reported Evans will get the start in Week 7, assuming Williams is out with the ankle injury. Freeman was signed from the practice squad and will likely get work as well. The Rams have been busy building up their RBs, they also signed old friend Henderson today to the practice squad. Williams is expected to miss this week but Rivers could end up on IR and miss 4-5 weeks according to reports.

Freeman will likely split time with Evans this week, who is rumored to be the starter in Week 7 with Williams unlikely to play and Rivers out. Henderson could stick around for a while as Rivers is expected to miss 4-5 weeks and could be an IR candidate. The Rams are hoping Williams misses a week at most so there could be more RB shuffling over the next week in LA.

If Kyren Williams can't play against the Steelers, rookie sixth-round pick Zach Evans will likely get the start at running back.

McVay said the Rams are still "working through" the plan without Williams and Rivers, the story said. The Rams also have Freeman on their practice squad and he'll likely be involved against the Steelers. According to the story, McVay added there are different things the team is working through right now. The Rams could also make a move and bring in another RB with Rivers expected to miss multiple weeks.

The MRI results for backup Ronnie Rivers were not as promising. He has a Grade 3 PCL sprain and is out 4-5 weeks.

The story said an IR stint is probably likely for Rivers. As we stated in an earlier report, the Rams are possibly looking at an RB group of Freeman and Evans for at least Week 7.

Rivers is also expected to miss Week 7 with a PCL sprain, so the Rams are likely looking to Freeman and Evans to take over the backfield. Williams injury is not considered long-term, according to Schefter and his source.

Williams, who rushed for 158 yards yesterday, suffered an ankle injury. He left without a boot but is getting an MRI, according to Rapoport. Rivers is believed to have a PCL sprain that could keep him out a few weeks and he's also getting an MRI, Rapoport said. HC Sean McVay has already said he doesn't believe Williams' ankle injury is serious, but his status for Week 7 remains in doubt as of now. Evans and Freeman are next up and it's likely at least one of them will see some time, assuming Rivers can't play in Week 7.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Justin Herbert has been diagnosed with a fracture in the finger. Herbert, who dropped a Monty Python reference when asked about the finger after the game, also suffered what Rapoport describes as a “gruesome nail injury.”

The Chargers have a bye in Week 5 and neither of the injuries are expected to affect his availability for their Week 6 Monday night game against the Cowboys. Herbert did finish the game in Week 4. Good news for owners who will have him back in lineups for Week 6.

Herbert had a splint on his non-throwing hand but did finish the game, including a perfect deep pass on third down to ice the contest. Rapoport said it may be a break or a dislocation, but the Chargers have a bye in Week 5, which comes at a good time for Herbert. We'll continue to monitor his injury heading into Week 6. It's a home game against the Cowboys on Monday night, so owners may need to have a backup plan in place.
