Wide receiver Tee Higgins is still "day-to-day," but did practice on Friday, which gives him a chance of suiting up against the Cardinals. "We'll sleep on it tonight and look at it tomorrow," head coach Zac Taylor told reporters on Friday.

It doesn't sound promising, but the Bengals offense could certainly use all the help they can get right now. While the 3WR-set of Higgins/Chase/Boyd is one of the best in football, the team is floundering with a non-mobile Joe Burrow and a struggling offensive line.

The Giants injury report again shows that three offensive linemen didn’t practice. LT Andrew Thomas, C John Michael Schmitz, and G Shane Lemieux almost certainly aren’t going to be able to play Sunday vs. Dolphins.

As for RB Saquon Barkley (ankle), he’s feeling better but was limited for the second consecutive day. Not overly optimistic on that one either after hearing Barkley speak, even though he said he was in a “better spot” than he was last week.

Looks like there's a decent shot Barkley will play in Week 5, and he figures to get plenty of run in a Giants offense that is in serious need of a boost.

Tee Higgins has not ruled out playing in Week 5 against Arizona, saying he’s “hopeful” to play. But if he’s not available for this week, then he plans to return for the Week 6 game against Seattle at home.

Higgins told reporters on Monday that he’s not anticipating being sidelined for long. Via Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Higgins said that he landed wrong and fractured one rib and not multiple ribs. Higgins may be hopeful, but we can't always go by what a player says, so owners should definitely have another plan just in case Higgins is out for Week 5.

Rapoport did say Barkley is steadily getting better and thinks he has a more realistic chance to get on the field for Week 5, which is an early game against the Dolphins.

Rapoport didn't have a lot more details about the injury, nor did he have a specific timeline. But, he did point out the Bengals are at the Cardinals and home against the Seahawks the next two weeks before a Week 7 bye. It's possible Higgins isn't back until after the team's bye, which is a Week 8 game at the 49ers. Boyd should see a bigger role with any time Higgins has to miss.

Higgins will almost certainly miss at least a little bit of time as a result. The injury happened just before halftime. He finished with 19 yards on two catches in what was a nightmare day for the Bengals in a 27-3 loss to drop last year's AFC runners-up to 1-3. If Higgins does miss time, rookie Andrei Iosivas or Trenton Irwin could step up in his place outside of Ja'Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd.

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans and Bengals WR Tee Higgins have both left their games Sunday with hamstring and rib injuries, respectively.

Evans had 40 yards on three catches while Higgins finished with 19 yards on two catches. Evans tried to return for the second half and was on the bike trying to get back into the game but wound up returning to the locker room. For Higgins, a tough start to the season continues. He had 10 catches for 110 yards coming into today's game but 8 catches and 89 yards came in Week 2 against the Ravens.

The New York Giants are considering running back Saquon Barkley day-to-day as he tries to get back from an ankle injury in time for Monday night's matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.

Barkley missed Thursday night's loss to the San Francisco 49ers with the injury, which he described to the Amazon broadcast as a high ankle sprain. He is not practicing Tuesday as the Giants begin on-field preparations for the Seahawks.

The Giants running backs —as well as the entire offense— struggled yet again in Week 3. The Breida/Brightwell rotation accounted for 22 yards on the ground and 32 more through the air against the 49ers. It's not suggested to start either one of them if Barkley misses Week 4.

Head coach Brian Daboll called Saquon Barkley a quick healer last week and said on Tuesday that the team is going to continue monitoring his condition as they head toward their Monday night date with the Seahawks.

“He’s really now I’d say in the day-to-day category. He feels a lot better today, but we’ll kinda take that all the way throughout the week and see how he improves,” Daboll said, via SNY.

Barkley said last Thursday that he suffered a high-ankle sprain in the team’s Week 2 win over the Cardinals and that injury often causes players to miss multiple games, but the Giants aren’t making any plans to play without him at this point, the story added. We may not know a whole lot more heading into Week 4's Monday night matchup, so owners are going to need a backup plan when it comes to a decision on having Barkley in your lineup or not. The good news is if Barkley is out, Breida has a much better matchup this week when it comes to plugging him into lineups if it comes down to a game-time decision.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is expected to start against the Rams on Monday Night Football despite being less than 100 percent, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.

Burrow strained his right calf on the second day of training camp and didn’t return from the injury until after the preseason. He has not played like himself thus far with 304 passing yards, two touchdowns and an interception and aggravated his injury late in the Week 2 loss to the Ravens. He was a limited participant in Friday’s and Saturday’s practices, the story said.
