Jakobi Meyers, the team's leading receiver in each of the past two seasons, caught three of Mac Jones' first seven passes in team drills and "impressed during opening 1-on-1s".

The New England skill position group remains one of, if not the most, frustrating corps to pin down, but one would think that one of their receivers will have to ascend if Mac Jones is going to continue to grow as a quarterback. Meyers seems like a safe bet to handle the majority of the underneath work for fantasy managers looking to accrue a weekly floor for their WR room in the double-digit rounds.

Bourne has been New England's WR2 this season and Smith has only seen smatterings of production behind Henry. Henry is headed back to where he played his entire career and should be one of Mac Jones's favorite targets.

The shoulder issue is new and obviously important to monitor considering he looked okay during Sunday's win against the Jets.

Patriots WR Nelson Agholor is questionable to play Week 1 because of an ankle injury, according to Zack Cox of NESN.

The free agent addition was brought in to lead the Pats receiving corps but is at risk of doing so Week 1. If Agholor sits, Kendrick Bourne and Gunner Olszewski would see an increase in snaps.

In four seasons as a 49er, Kendrick Bourne posted 1,769 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns on 137 receptions. He's capable of playing both inside and out and should bolster a Patriots WR corps that's been lackluster in recent years. He joins Nelson Agholor as a free agent add in 2021.

Deebo Samuel will be “out a while” with a hamstring strain, HC Kyle Shanahan said.

The 49ers aren’t ready to put a timeline on it yet, the tweet went on to say, but there are already reports Samuel will miss the rest of the season. Bourne should step into the WR2 role with Aiyuk the clear WR1.

Samuel injured his hamstring on the first play of the game against Washington. He is now done for the rest of the day. This isn’t the first time Samuel has dealt with a hamstring issue and he was also batting foot issues throughout the week but still got the start. Kendrick Bourne has been seeing more time as a result.

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said he is hopeful that Tevin Coleman, Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, Deebo Samuel, Raheem Mostert, Richard Sherman will all be available to play against the Rams on Nov. 29.

Mostert should slide right back in to the main back role when he returns with McKinnon and Coleman as the change of pace, third down backs. Meanwhile at WR, Samuel should return as the team's WR1 and will push Aiyuk, James and Bourne down the depth chart.
