Jaguars RB Jalen Parmele gets start, Rashad Jennings demoted

Jaguars running back Jalen Parmele made his first NFL start and responded with a career highs in carries (24) and yards (80).

Rashad Jennings was a spectator after replacing Maurice Jones-Drew for the previous four games.

Parmele’s 28-yard run in overtime gave the Jaguars a first-and-goal from the 6, but the offense settled for a field goal.

“We felt like we needed to see if we could get our run game going,” coach Mike Mularkey said. “We’re constantly making evaluations. … We got some hard-earned yards from him.”

Fantasy Impact:

Parmele rushed 24 times for 80 yards in the game and is an top add this week with the Titans and Bills up next. It doesn't look like Jennings will get another shot, especially with MJD due to return in the near future. He's probably not worth carrying on rosters after scoring one TD in four games and collecting 175 yards on 61 carries (2.87 yards a carry).
