#Falcons free agent TE Austin Hooper, the top player at his position, is headed to the #Browns, per @TomPelissero, @MikeSilver
and me. They’ve agreed to terms, he’s the new highest-paid TE.
Austin Hooper reportedly becomes the highest-paid TE in the NFL with a four-year deal worth $44 million. This adds another weapon for Baker Mayfield in an already talented arsenal featuring Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham. It may be tough for Hooper to repeat 2019's TE6 finish.
#Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff says Austin Hooper and De’Vondre Campbell will hit the free agency market
Austin Hooper will be 26 in October and is coming off a career-high season in receptions (75), yards (787) and touchdowns (6). Despite letting him test the waters, the Falcons should still be heavily involved in negotiations with the fifth-year TE, but their cap situation may hinder their ability to retain him.
Jones only ended up missing one game while Hooper is playing for the first time since Week 10. Hooper was having a terrific season before his injury. He was the No. 1 scoring tight end through the first ten weeks of the season. He is our No. 8 TE for this week, back just in time for the playoffs.

Falcons TE Austin Hooper (knee) was limited Friday after taking full reps earlier in the week. Hooper is expected to play in Week 14. Consider him a midrange TE1 in his first game back. He was the No. 1 TE through the first 10 weeks.
