Kyler Murray finished as the QB4 overall in week 12 with 26.24 DK points, but that was plenty to help this squad win the $100,000. Josh Jacobs and Austin Ekeler crushed from the running back and flex spots, finishing as the RB1 and RB3, respectively, for the week. After a couple of down weeks, Jacobs was back to dominating with an incredible 51.3 DK points. At receiver, Chris Godwin finished as the WR2 on the week, just 0.3 points behind Justin Jefferson. Jaylen Waddle was way down at WR28 with 13.5 DK points, but Jacobs was so much better than every other running back in week 12 that Waddle didn’t kill the lineup.

Looking back at our Optimal Options from last week, Josh Allen finished as the QB1, and as previously mentioned, Ekeler was a hit as the RB3 overall. We can call Stefon Diggs a hit as well, finishing as the WR9 with 21.7 DK points. Tyreek Hill had a floor game with 15 points and finished as the WR23, a point-and-a-half more than teammate Jaylen Waddle. Unfortunately, Ja’Marr Chase did not play in Week 12, and with the holiday, I could not get an update in before kickoff. My value plays were a mixed bag. Geno Smith finished as a top-ten quarterback with 20.32 DK points. There was a bigger game there for Terry McLaurin, but he ultimately disappointed with just 8.8 DK points and a WR51 finish. On to Week 13!

Optimal Options

If money is no object, here are the best plays at each starting spot based on the Week 13 rankings over at 4for4.

Justin Herbert, QB LAC (Elite FP: $349, Rare FP: $33)

Herbert is the fifth-ranked quarterback on the week at 4for4, but he has the ceiling this week to be the QB1 due to the matchup. He is projected to score 19.9 DK points, but that’s without the bonus for 300 passing yards, which I think he will likely hit. Los Angeles is a one-and-a-half-point road favorite against the Las Vegas Raiders. Las Vegas is giving up the second-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to the position. The Chargers have a 32.25-point implied team total, the highest of the week.

Josh Jacobs, RB LV (Elite FP: $547, Rare FP: $50)

Jacobs is the top-ranked running back at 4for4 and is projected to score 21.6 DK points. Los Vegas is an early one-and-a-half-point home dog against the Los Angeles Chargers, who are giving up the second-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing running backs. The Raiders have a 24.25-point implied team total, the 13th-highest of the week.

A.J. Brown, WR PHI (Elite FP: $500, Rare FP: $53)

Brown is the WR11 at 4for4 and is projected to score 16.0 DK points, but against his old team at home, I think Brown has the kind of ceiling game that could make him the top-scoring wide receiver in Week 13. Philadelphia is an early four-point home favorite against the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee is giving up the fifth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. The Eagles have a 24.25-point implied team total, the 12th-highest of the week.

Davante Adams, WR LV (Elite FP: $310 Rare FP: $37)

Adams has a tough matchup in Week 13 but is still the top-ranked wide receiver at 4for4 and is projected to score 24.5 DK points with the bonus for 100 yards. The Chargers have been a run-funnel defense all season long, hence Adams teammate Josh Jacobs also being a top play at running back. He is a matchup-proof wide receiver, though, and if Las Vegas elects to win via the pass, Adams should get his despite the Chargers allowing the eighth-fewest schedule-adjusted fantasy points to the position. With Adams, it only takes one play to make your fantasy day

Ja’Marr Chase, WR CIN (Elite FP: $600, Rare FP: $59)

Chase didn’t make it on the field in Week 12, but the hypothesis for the play remains the same in Week 13. Chase is the WR12 at 4for4 and is projected to score 15.8 DK points, but as we all know, he is a threat to be the WR1 overall in any given week. Cincinnati is a two-and-a-half-point road dog against the Kansas City Chiefs, who are giving up the tenth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to the position. The Bengals have a 24,5-point implied team total, tied for the eighth-highest of the week.

Value Plays

Trevor Lawrence, QB JAX (Elite FP: $209, Rare FP: $29)

Lawrence has the absolute best matchup for quarterbacks in Week 13. He is ranked as the QB8 this week by 4for4 and is projected to score 18.4 DK points. The Jacksonville Jaguars are a one-and-a-half-point road favorite against the Detroit Lions, who are giving up the most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Lawrence is coming off one of his best games as a pro in a fantastic win against Baltimore, and I think they continue to ride that wave of newfound confidence into Week 13. The Jaguars have a 26.5-point implied team total, the fourth-highest of the week.

Garrett Wilson, WR NYJ (Elite FP: $235, Rare FP: $23)

Mike White scored more fantasy points in Week 12 than Zach Wilson ever has in a game as the starting quarterback for the Jets. He activated the Jets' pass catchers in a way they haven’t been all season long. Wilson finished as the WR5 overall in Week 12, is ranked as the WR8 at 4for4, and is projected to score 16.6 DK points. New York is an early three-point road dog against the Minnesota Vikings, who are giving up the most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. The Jets have a 21.5-point implied team total, the 18th-highest of the week.
