Squirrel’s Nuts & Bolts: Seahawks - Broncos TNF Showdown Strategy (Week 6 NFL DFS)

Week 6 of the NFL season kicks off with an interconference Showdown between the Seahawks and the Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High. Kickoff is 8:15 PM ET, and the Seahawks are favored by 2.5 points on the road, with the total set at 40.5 points.

The defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks are 3-2, with both losses coming by three points or fewer, and they rank eighth in the league at 26.8 points per game. Jaxon Smith-Njigba won Offensive Player of the Year last season after leading the league with 1,793 receiving yards, and he leads the league again with 583 receiving yards and seven touchdown catches. He has topped 100 yards in four of five games, including five catches for 102 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s loss to the 49ers. Sam Darnold has thrown for 755 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions in four games (only Drake Maye, Justin Herbert, and Matthew Stafford have thrown more picks). With Zach Charbonnet still on the PUP list and rookie Jadarian Price on injured reserve, Emanuel Wilson leads the backfield. He has 251 yards on 73 carries, and he ran 20 times for 61 yards and a touchdown against the 49ers.

The Broncos are also 3-2 after a 23-17 win over the Chargers, but they rank 26th in the league at 19.4 points per game. Bo Nix is averaging 5.8 yards per attempt, which is tied for 28th among qualified passers, and he threw for just 123 yards on Sunday. He has run just 18 times for 35 yards in his return from the ankle injury that ended his season in the Divisional Round, after rushing for 356 yards and five touchdowns last season. Jaylen Waddle leads the team with 31 targets in his first season in Denver, though 138 of his 204 receiving yards came in Week 2 against the Jaguars. J.K. Dobbins has 229 yards on 64 carries, while RJ Harvey has caught 20 of his 22 targets. The Broncos rank 30th against the run at 145.2 rushing yards allowed per game, and tonight they will also be without cornerback Pat Surtain II and safety Talanoa Hufanga.

This Showdown gives us a 40.5-point total and the league’s leading receiver against a Broncos secondary without Pat Surtain II. Let’s break down this Thursday night interconference Showdown, highlight the key plays, and uncover the strategies that could help you climb the leaderboards.
