X-rays negative for Lions RB David Montgomery (ribs)

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (ribs) was ruled out versus the Buccaneers. Montgomery's X-rays were negative, per Fox's Pam Oliver.

Related players: Jahmyr Gibbs, Craig Reynolds

Fantasy Impact:

Montgomery left owners disappointed after leaving early in Week 6. The Lions were forced to go with Reynolds as the RB1 with Gibbs also out of action. Monty may just be dealing with a pain and comfort issue heading into Week 7 with the injured ribs, so owners will want to monitor his practice status. The Lions are at the Ravens next week in an early Sunday matchup, so we'll have a good idea by then about Montgomery's status. Even after leaving Week 6 with just six carriers, Monty is still averaging over 23 carries per game this season.
