Jakobi Meyers, the team's leading receiver in each of the past two seasons, caught three of Mac Jones' first seven passes in team drills and "impressed during opening 1-on-1s".

Related Players: DeVante Parker, Kendrick Bourne

The New England skill position group remains one of, if not the most, frustrating corps to pin down, but one would think that one of their receivers will have to ascend if Mac Jones is going to continue to grow as a quarterback. Meyers seems like a safe bet to handle the majority of the underneath work for fantasy managers looking to accrue a weekly floor for their WR room in the double-digit rounds.

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski clarifies the QB depth chart, after the addition of Josh Rosen: “Jacoby Brissett is our backup quarterback. If Deshaun Watson is unavailable, Jacoby’s our starter.”

Brissett will likely only have value in deeper leagues if he's forced into action, and the Browns plan to get him first-team reps to get him ready - assuming Watson is suspended. Brissett under center will decrease the value of the entire passing game as the Browns will be forced to become run-heavy.

After recording zero catches his rookie season in Dallas, WR Simi Fehoko has spent the offseason in Dallas. He has spent time with Dak Prescott and feels he offers something that the WR room may lack due to offseason moves and injuries. "Being the bigger, taller and I guess heavier receiver to be able to have that blend of speed I feel like adding that with learning from the route runner from [Noah Brown] or CeeDee, I feel like it's only just going to get better," Fehoko said. "I feel like that is something I bring to the table."

"I ended up staying here and I was able to work with Dak a little bit through the offseason," Fehoko said. "It's been smooth for me just being able to deal with them and be here the whole offseason."

Fehoko has a leg-up on rookies such as Jalen Tolbert by being in the Cowboys system for a season, but if he wants to be irreplaceable he has to top players with higher draft capital (Tolbert) and force out veterans such as James Washington. Fehoko could be an intriguing dynasty player if his time in Dallas bares fruit.

The Falcons have released RB Mike Davis.

Related Players: Cordarrelle Patterson, Damien Williams, Tyler Allgeier

Davis could not replicate his 2020 season as Christian McCaffrey's injury replacement and will now be looking to compete for a roster spot elsewhere. Patterson and Williams stand to see the most work as of now with recently-drafted Allgeier new to the team.

The Cleveland Browns have signed QB Jacoby Brissett to a one-year deal.

Brissett will back up Deshaun Watson and has a chance to start games in 2022 depending on Watson's legal issues. Brissett is a priority back-up if Watson misses games.

The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed RB James Conner to a three-year contract.

With Chase Edmonds in Miami, Conner is the lead back unless the Cardinals spend a higher draft pick on a back in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) and WR Rondale Moore (hamstring) are active for Super Wild Card Monday against the Los Angeles Rams.

Conner active means Chase Edmonds should be no worse than in a 50/50 split, but loses his lead dog role. Moore has been used sporadically and is a true boom/bust play against the Rams.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) did not practice Friday, while RB Chase Edmonds (ribs/toe) and WR Rondale Moore (ankle) were limited.

A second DNP is bad news for Conner, especially with Edmonds ailing as well.

Cardinals RB James Conner (heel) did not practice Thursday, while RB Chase Edmonds (ribs/toe) and WR Rondale Moore (ankle) were limited.

The assumption is all three play, but Conner has to practice Friday in some capacity to have any confidence he suits up Monday night.
