DeMeco Ryans said RB Woody Marks and CB Derek Stingley Jr., who both did not finish the game, should be fine but it’s something they’ll monitor.

Enter Jordan, who finished with 15 carries for 101 yards and also added two catches for 17 yards. With Chubb already ruled out and Marks leaving the game, fantasy owners were forced to see Jordan take over as the RB1. It sounds like Marks will be OK going forward but his status for Week 16 wasn't specifically mentioned. The Texans host the Raiders in Week 16, and the team may not feel a need to bring back Marks right away. This is a situation worth monitoring since it's against the Raiders.

So not only has Marks returned to practice, he could be in line to play Week 15 without Chubb in the backfield. It would be very unlikely that the veteran Ogunbowale steals enough work to make a major impact on Marks, so if the rookie is out there, he should be viewed as a fringe RB1/2 in a great matchup.

Texans HC DeMeco Ryans told reporters that CJ Stroud, who has missed the last three games while in concussion protocol, will start Sunday vs. the Colts.

Mills held down the fort remarkably well, but Stroud looks like he'll be good to go for the rest of the season. He's got a middling matchup against the Colts on Sunday, and should be considered in the QB15 range.

Good sign for the Texans as they prepare for an important Week 13 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. We would expect Stroud to get the nod, putting him on streaming radars with a receiving group that looks like it's begun to coalesce.

Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud’s status hasn’t changed since last week.

Head coach DeMeco Ryans told reporters on Monday that Stroud remains in the concussion protocol. Stroud was injured in the team’s Week 9 loss to the Broncos and has missed the last three games.

The next update on Stroud’s progress will come with Wednesday’s practice. Stroud had returned to practice last week but the Texans played on Thursday and it wasn't enough time for Stroud to be ready. Stroud still has a chance to play in Week 13, and the story went on to say when Stroud is cleared he will get the start. Mills has started all three games when Stroud was out, and the Texans have won all three.

Sources: Texans RB Joe Mixon is not expected to play this season as he deals with a foot injury from the offseason.

Mixon likely remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list through the season. Meanwhile, Houston moves forward with Nick Chubb and Woody Marks.

This shouldn't come as much of a surprise considering we haven't heard a peep about him in months. As such, this doesn't impact Marks and Chubb's ROS outlook. We'll have to see how this impacts Mixon's 2026 availability.

The Texans won’t have quarterback C.J. Stroud for a third consecutive game, coach DeMeco Ryans announced Tuesday. But it appears backup quarterback Davis Mills will have No. 1 wide receiver Nico Collins and tight end Dalton Schultz.

Collins (ankle) and Schultz (shoulder) returned to full participation on Tuesday. Both were estimated as limited participants on Monday, the story said. Collins' last three weeks have been good: 7-75-0, 7-136-0 and 9-92-1. Schultz has also been good over the last three weeks: 6-77-0, 7-53-1 and 6-51-0.

Coach DeMeco Ryans said QB C.J. Stroud and S Jalen Pitre will be OUT ahead of the Texans TNF matchup against the Bills.

Ryans said there wasn't enough time for them to clear the protocol, according to the post. This isn't a surprise and was the likely outcome for Stroud, but it's at least nice to know well in advance of Thursday's game. Mills will get the start again this week, but it looks like Stroud has a good chance to be back for Week 13, which is an away game at the Colts.

Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn (quadriceps) participated fully.

He is expected back for Thursday night game against Bills, the report said. Fairbairn was one of the top fantasy kickers before he missed a couple of weeks, and is worth adding if he's on your wire.
