Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) was designated to return from IR, giving him three weeks to play before being lost for the season.

Fantasy Impact: 

Good news for Panthers fans and fantasy players alike. The best news with CMC's impending return is that Hubbard is more than capable of handling a larger workload and can help ease McCaffrey back into his normal workload.

Head coach Kevin O'Connell says that Dalvin Cook is day-to-day after leaving Week 3 with a shoulder injury.

Fantasy Impact: 

Mattison has proved over and over again that he is a legitimate fantasy asset when Cook is forced to miss games, including his 44-yard, two-touchdown performance in Week 3. He currently stands as the RB20 (before MNF) on the week, despite only logging 39% of the offensive snaps.

Head coach Zac Taylor says Joe Mixon is ready to go for Thursday after the running back missed much of the second half of Week 3 with an ankle issue.

Fantasy Impact: 

Mixon was still in on 66% of the Bengals' offensive snaps, but his last touch came on the very last play of the third quarter. The rest could very well have been precautionary, as Cincinnati took over with 10:00 left in the fourth quarter and proceeded to run the ball 11 times in a row in order to use up the clock, up by 15 points. Mixon's Week 4 opponents, the Miami Dolphins, have been relatively stout against the run but also just allowed a 14-121-1 receiving line to Bills running backs in Week 3.

Patriots QB Mac Jones has "pretty severe" high ankle sprain

Pelissero continued, "this means ligament damage in his ankle. By and large, these are multiple week types of injuries." The hope is that he will not need surgery, but it is highly unlikely he will suit up for Week 4.

Fantasy Impact: 

The Patriots' fantasy options were already nothing to get excited about with Mac Jones at the helm, so sticking 36-year-old Brian Hoyer back there isn't going to move the needle. In Hoyer's last full start, he went 15-of-24 for 130 yards and an interception and a fumble in Week 4 of the 2020 season.
