Vikings Won Both Matchups in 2024

In 2024, it was the Vikings who got the best of the Bears in both matchups between these NFC North teams. The Vikings won the first 30-27 in overtime on November 24. Then, on December 16, they dominated the Bears 30-12. Both wins were part of a nine-game win streak that the Vikings ripped off from weeks 9-17 before losing to the Lions in week 18.

The Bears started 4-2 in 2024 before everything fell apart. They finished 5-12 and went out to get Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to take over as their head coach. Kevin O'Connell is coming off a 14-3 season for the Vikings, and he is 80-67 in four seasons as head coach with Minnesota.

Can Bears Get Back Into the Playoffs in 2025?

The Bears haven't reached the playoffs since the 2020 season, when they went 8-8 and lost in the Wild Card with Matt Nagy as head coach. The Bears haven't had a lot of success since the year 2000. Chicago has reached the playoffs just six times since 2000. Their best season game was in 2006 when they went 13-3 and lost in the Super Bowl to the Indianapolis Colts.

The 2025 season has arrived, and Bears fans are pumped for a team that looks like it has a lot of potential with young quarterback Caleb Williams. He will be working under new head coach Ben Johnson, who led one of the league's best offenses last season (Detroit Lions). The Bears saw their offense finish 28th in points and 32nd in total yards last season.
