Not many quarterbacks can score the most fantasy points of the week without throwing a touchdown pass, but Jalen Hurts did just that in Week 15. Hurts' three rushing touchdowns helped get him there despite throwing two interceptions instead of touchdowns. That shows you how powerful these rushing quarterbacks truly are when they have a massive day on the ground. Out of nowhere, Jerick McKinnon has finished as the RB1 overall in back-to-back weeks despite the matchup against the Texans that seemed to favor Isaiah Pacheco's role. McKinnon is getting all of the high-value running back touches for one of the best offenses in the league and very well himself could be a league winner in season-long formats. Chase didn't have the slate-breaking kind of week I thought he might have had after it looked early in the week like Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd would miss the game, but he did finish as the WR13, just outside the WR1 range. You wouldn't think an Eagles receiver would be a top-five play, given that Jalen Hurts didn't throw a touchdown pass, but A.J. Brown finished as the WR4 on nine receptions for 181 yards. Travis Kelce was tired of being left out of TE-optional lineups and showed up in the $100k winning lineup with ten catches for 105 yards.

Looking at last week's optimal plays, Justin Herbert had an excellent finish in the Chargers' Week 15 win, but he didn't get there for fantasy purposes. Henry led the Titans in rushing and receiving last week on his way to an RB3 overall finish. Ja'Marr Chase had a solid if unspectacular seven for 60 and a touchdown on 13 targets. A bigger day was there, but he and Joe Burrow sometimes struggled to connect against Tampa Bay. CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek both finished as WR1s. Our value plays were both misses. Mike White ended up not playing, and Keenan Allen was a victim of his quarterback's zero-touchdown day. Allen finished as the WR19 in Week 15. Onward to Week 16!

Optimal Options

If money is no object, here are the best plays at each starting spot based on the Week 16 rankings over at 4for4.

Justin Herbert, QB LAC (Elite FP: $250, Rare FP: $22)

As previously discussed, Herbert did us a little dirty last week, failing to score a touchdown and throwing two interceptions against a team that was allowing the fourth-most points to quarterbacks. We still believe, and we're going back to him again as the third-ranked quarterback on the week at 4for4, projecting him for 23.1 DK points. Los Angeles is a four-point road favorite against the Indianapolis Colts. Indianapolis gave up the ninth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to the position and made Kirk Cousins the QB3 overall with 37.4 DK points last Saturday. The Chargers have a 25.25-point implied team total, the fifth-highest of the week.

Derrick Henry, RB TEN (Elite FP: $400, Rare FP: $30)

After some sluggish play as of late, Henry got back on track in Week 15 against the Chargers, so we're going back to him in another great matchup. Henry is the top-ranked running back at 4for4 and is projected to score 27.4 DK points with the bonus for 100 rushing yards. Tennessee is an early five-and-a-half-point home favorite against the Houston Texans, who give up the fourth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing running backs. The Titans have a 21.25-point implied team total, the 13th-highest of the week.

Justin Jefferson, WR MIN (Elite FP: $475, Rare FP: $33)

Jefferson is ranked as the WR1 overall at 4for4 and is projected to score 24.7 DK points with the bonus for 100 yards receiving. The Minnesota Vikings are an early three-point home favorite against the New York Giants, who give up the tenth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. The Vikings have a 25.75-point implied team total, the third-highest of the week.

Travis Kelce, TE KC (Elite FP: $780, Rare FP: $78)

After several weeks of electing to play a third wide receiver instead of a tight end, I am back on Kelce this week. He is the top-ranked tight end at 4for4 and projects to score 18.4 DK points. Kansas City is a ten-point home favorite against the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle is giving up the fifth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing tight ends. The Chiefs have a 29-point implied team total, the highest of the week.

Davante Adams, WR LV Elite FP: $269, Rare FP: $24)

Adams disappointed in Week 15, finishing as the WR59 with only 6.8 DK points. Adams is the ultimate squeaky wheel, though, and I expect a big bounce back. He is the third-ranked wide receiver at 4for4 and projects to score 19.8 DK points. Las Vegas is a three-point road favorite against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who give up the eighth-fewest schedule-adjusted fantasy points to the position. The Raiders have an 18-point implied team total, tied for the ninth-fewest of the week.

Value Plays

Geno Smith, QB SEA (Elite FP: $480, Rare FP: $49)

Geno Smith might be the answer if you're looking for a quarterback not designated as a Superstar by DraftKings. This week, he is ranked as the QB9 by 4for4 and projects to score 18.5 DK points. The Seahawks are a ten-point road dog against the Kansas City Chiefs, who give up the fifth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. The Seahawks have a 19-point implied team total, the 13th-fewest of the week.

DK Metcalf, WR SEA (Elite FP: $239, Rare FP: $25)

Who better to stack up Geno with than his alpha? Tyler Lockett will miss this week after getting hand surgery which should mean oodles of targets for DK Metcalf. He is ranked as the WR7 at 4for4 and is projected to score 17 DK points. Kansas City gives up the 11th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.
