Squirrel Patrol’s Super Bowl LX Single-Game Strategy

We’ve reached the end of the NFL season with just two teams remaining, as the Seahawks and Rams meet in Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, California. Both teams leaned heavily on elite defenses throughout the year. Seattle allowed the fewest points per game and the third-fewest rushing yards during the regular season, while New England finished allowing the fourth-fewest points and the sixth-fewest rushing yards. Seattle enters the Super Bowl as a 4.5-point favorite, with the total set at 45.5 points.

The Seahawks’ offense was efficient and nearly as dominant as its defense, ranking third in the league in points per game and eighth in total yards. Sam Darnold threw for 4,048 yards and 25 touchdowns, with nearly half of those yards going to standout wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. JSN led the NFL with 1,793 receiving yards on 119 receptions, adding 10 touchdowns along the way. He was supported by Cooper Kupp, midseason acquisition Rashid Shaheed, and tight end AJ Barner. In the backfield, Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet split the workload, with Walker leading the team in rushing yards and Charbonnet pacing the Seahawks with 12 rushing touchdowns. However, Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL during the playoffs, potentially pushing a larger role onto second-year RB George Holani.

New England also paired elite defense with one of the league’s top offenses, albeit against a notably soft strength of schedule. The Patriots scored the second-most points per game and ranked third in total yards behind second-year quarterback Drake Maye. Maye threw for 4,394 yards and 31 touchdowns, while adding another 450 rushing yards. Stefon Diggs led the team with 85 receptions and 1,013 receiving yards despite playing fewer than 60% of the offensive snaps in most games. Tight end Hunter Henry paced the team with seven receiving touchdowns, while Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, and Demario Douglas rounded out the passing attack. The rushing game was split between Rhamondre Stevenson and rookie TreVeyon Henderson, with Henderson leading the team with 911 rushing yards, though Stevenson handled the heavier workload during the postseason.
