Saquon Barkley cleared; DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks ruled out

Eagles

Oct 30 · 5:40 PM EDT

Saquon Barkley (hamstring/back) returned to limited practice Friday and has no injury designation for Sunday night against Washington. DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) have been ruled out.

Fantasy Impact:

Barkley is back in the RB2 mix, although his recent injuries leave uncertainty about how much work he can handle. Blue becomes emergency depth, while Mitchell would need another practice-squad elevation to play.

The receiving absences keep Lemon in the WR3/FLEX conversation and Goedert firmly in TE1 territory. Cooper offers deeper-league FLEX appeal, with Hollywood Brown and Moore remaining more speculative options.

Eagles rule DeVonta Smith (hamstring) out, Saquon Barkey questionable for MNF vs. Cowboys

Philadelphia Eagles

Oct 24 · 4:33 PM EDT

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith was ruled out for Monday's game against the Cowboys with a hamstring injury. RB Saquon Barkley (hamstring) is questionable.

Fantasy Impact:

Smith played last week against the Panthers and put up a 7-75-1 line. The Eagles are now seemingly managing Smith's injury. He did not practice all week and will not play Monday. The Eagles also ruled out WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle).

As for Barkley, he is expected to play after missing the last two games. The Eagles have been hurting at the running back position, having also put Will Shipley, Tank Bigsby and Carson Steele on injured reserve. Dameon Pierce is the only other running back on the 53-man roster and Elijah Mitchell is on the practice squad.

DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks, Dallas Goedert miss practice again Friday

Eagles

Oct 23 · 6:23 PM EDT

DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks and Dallas Goedert did not practice Friday, their second consecutive absences this week. Philadelphia holds its final practice Saturday before facing Dallas on Monday night.

Fantasy Impact:

Managers relying on any of the three should secure a Monday replacement before Sunday’s games begin. If Smith and Wicks sit, Brown would have a path to WR3 value, with Lemon entering the deeper FLEX conversation. Cooper and Moore would be more speculative plays. Goedert’s absence would create opportunity at tight end, but Calcaterra and Stowers still need activation from injured reserve; Mundt should not be treated as an automatic streaming answer.

Saquon Barkley expected to resume practice, on track for Monday night

Mike Garafolo

Oct 22 · 10:30 AM EDT

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley is expected to return to practice today and is in line to play Monday against the Cowboys, sources say. A lift for the team’s offense with a banged-up backfield and Jalen Hurts on the mend.

Related Players: Dameon Pierce, Tanner McKee, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert

Fantasy Impact:

Barkley would return to RB2 consideration with RB1 upside if cleared for his normal workload. His return would push Pierce out of starting consideration in most leagues, though Pierce remains worth holding until Barkley’s availability is confirmed. If Barkley misses again, Pierce would remain a volume-based RB2 option.
