Both players were out of practice on Monday and all of last week as well, so getting the green light to play against the Saints on Thursday looks like a long shot. Benjamin started last Sunday and ran 15 times for 37 yards. He’s been listed as limited this week because of a foot injury.
On top of James Conner likely missing this week and likely the next, the Cardinals are also expected to be playing without backup running back Darrel Williams due to a knee injury. Plus, they’ve placed running back Jonathan Ward on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
The Seahawks' defense has allowed the most yards and second-most touchdowns on the ground while allowing the fifth-highest yards per attempt. Eno Benjamin looks to be operating in the workhorse role while Conner nurses up, which makes him an RB2 play in fantasy this weekend.
The tweet went on to say Williams sprained his knee and is out this week and Ward is dealing with a hamstring injury and is on IR, per Tom Pelissero. The team recently signed Clement and Williams to the practice squad. One name not mentioned in terms of injuries is Benjamin, so if Conner is unable to go in Week 6, Benjamin would likely get a huge workload. Against the Eagles, Benjamin had eight carries and scored a TD while adding three catches. He's worth picking up if he's on your wire.
