Bears trade RB Khalil Herbert to Bengals

Running back Khalil Herbert is on to Cincinnati.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Bengals have agreed to a trade with the Bears that will add Herbert to their backfield for the rest of the season. A 2025 seventh-round pick will go back to the Bears as compensation.

Fantasy Impact:

Moss is dealing with a neck injury and there is no timetable for his return, we reported on Monday. So the Bengals needed help at the position. Herbert should slide in as the team's RB2 behind Brown, who is the clear RB1. Meanwhile in Chicago, Johnson becomes an interesting fantasy addition as the team's clear RB2 behind Swift. Swift started slow this season, but has come on as of late, however, Johnson could see his value climb and is probably worth adding off the wire if you have the room.

Bears agree to terms with D'Andre Swift on three-year contract

The Bears have agreed to terms with RB D’Andre Swift on a three-year, $24 million deal.

After a career year with the Eagles, Swift heads to Chicago to be a big piece in Shane Waldron’s offense.

Fantasy Impact:

With D'Onta Foreman set to hit the market, Chicago brings in Swift to compete for touches with two home-grown talents; Herbert and Johnson. Swift should take over the lead-back role, but there will still be plenty of sharing going on, which impacts each of their fantasy outlooks. Swift will have a capped-upside as an RB2.

Eagles RB D'Andre Swift and TE Dallas Goedert on track for a fully healthy Week 14

Eagles’ RB D’Andre Swift was not listed on today’s injury report, and TE Dallas Goedert was a full participant at today’s practice.

Fantasy Impact:

Swift coming off the injury report so early in the week should point towards his typical role within the explosive offense.

Goedert looks to see in-game action for the first time since Week 9, and it comes against a huge divisional game against the Dallas Cowboys. His target share will always be somewhat capped with DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown on the field, but he has notched two huge games for a struggling fantasy position: 8-117-1 in Week 5 and 5-77-1 in Week 7.

Eagles RB Kenneth Gainwell looks unlikely to play Week 2

I’m not expecting #Eagles RB Kenneth Gainwell (ribs) and CB James Bradberry (concussion) to face the #Vikings. Could be the same for S Reed Blankenship (ribs). But DT Fletcher Cox (ribs) is trending toward playing.

Fantasy Impact:

The Eagles backfield was surprisingly controlled by Gainwell in Week 1, as he accounted for 14 rushing attempts and four targets while Rashaad Penny was a healthy scratch. We have been in similar situations with Boston Scott, so please don't go add him in anything but incredibly deep leagues, but we should see Penny on the field, and Swift should get a giant bump as well.
