Wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey is returning to the Broncos on a one-year deal.

Humphrey was sneakily second on the team in slot snaps (154) last season, behind Jerry Jeudy (291), who is now in Cleveland. Marvin Mims figures to take at least some of those snaps, assuming the team cuts back on his "go" routes and actively incorporates him into the offense. Humphrey can be passed over in fantasy drafts.

With the way the Broncos offense performed in Week 1, this should hopefully provide a shot in the arm. Jeudy should instantly be atop the target share in Week 2, which should allow him to return high-end WR3 value.

Asked today if WR Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) will be moved to short-term injured reserve tomorrow, Broncos GM George Paton said: "He will not go on that.''

As the post added, it would seem to indicate Broncos believe, at least right now, Jeudy will be back some point before the fourth game of the year. If Juedy does miss any games, Sutton and Mims would be the team's top two wideouts.

The New England Patriots have signed WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey.

LJH is a big target that will get a chance to try and carve out a role for a receiver room devoid of consistency. Humphrey is just a guy unless cuts/injuries attack the Pats' wideouts.

Saints WR Tre'Quan Smith (chest) will not play Week 17, while RB Mark Ingram (knee) and WRs Lil'Jordan Humphrey (illness) and Ty Montgomery (back) are questionable to play against the Carolina Panthers.

None of these players are must-starts Week 17, but Ingram is the closest to a flex play of the group.

Saints WR Tre'Quan Smith will miss Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers due to a hamstring injury, according to Zach Heilprin of 96.7 FM The Zone in Madison, Wisconsin. Smith was subsequently place on IR according to Amie Just of NOLA.com.
