According to head coach Kellen Moore, both tight end Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill are not close to a return to the field. Rather, “they’re not ready to get on the field any time soon”, via Moore. The depth at TE for Moore’s offense is a notable concern due to these injuries.

Stoll is set for a legitimate offensive impact as of now, but is considered more of a blocker, the story went on to say. As for Hill, he is trying to recover from an ACL tear at 34-years-old. Hill is expected to remain on the PUP list and miss the first four games of the season. Given his age and the injury, he's obviously a risky bet in fantasy this season. But if you like to take chances and take advantage of IR spots, Hill is at least someone you can stash there and maybe pick up late in drafts.

He's not draftable in typical redraft leagues, but makes a good TE3/stack option in best ball.

Tests today confirmed that Saints TE Taysom Hill is out for the year with the knee injury he suffered Sunday, per source.

This was the fear after the injury happened during Sunday's game. Hill had six rushing touchdowns this season as that's the area where he did the most damage this year. The injury should open up more chances for Alvin Kamara, but the Saints lose another offensive weapon for the rest of the season. Hill is under contract with the Saints for one more season.

Saints TE Taysom Hill will undergo an MRI Monday on his knee to determine the severity of the injury.

While nothing is official yet, there is worry that the knee injury is a season-ending one. The injury happened in the fourth quarter when Hill ran for a first down as the Saints were looking to make a comeback. His knee hit one of the Rams’ helmets. The injury occurred in the fourth quarter on a fourth down attempt in which Hill took the snap himself and ran for a first down. Hill had 47 totals yards before the injury, which hopefully isn’t too serious.

Dennis Allen noted that Bub Means will miss time due to a high-ankle sprain.

With Olave back in action last week, Means was still the team's WR2, but with him now missing time, Tipton and Wilson look to be next up on the depth chart. The good news for the Saints is QB Derek Carr has a chance to play in Week 9. Olave went for a line of 8-107-0 and was targeted 14 times. Kamara was targeted 11 times and had a 6-55-0 line. Expect Kamara to continue to be heavily used in the passing game.

Good injury news on the way. Taysom Hill, Cesar Ruiz, Pete Werner and Chris Olave could all be back this week.

The Saints are hurting with injuries on offense so getting back both Hill and Olave will be a big deal. The Saints visit the Chargers in Week 8 in what is a later Sunday game. Owners will want to monitor their status heading into the week, especially if they are trending toward a game-time call. The team is still unsure of the status of QB Derek Carr, but if Carr can't go it will be Spencer Rattler under center we reported Monday.

Dennis Allen says Taysom Hill will be listed as questionable on the injury report and was limited on Friday.

"If he's able to go, he'll be out there."

Hill is always a candidate to stream at TE (where eligible) when he's healthy, but not so much if we're worried about his already-funky snap count. This could be the week he runs in a goal-line touchdown or gets five targets, but it's just as likely that he barely sees the field. He's not a recommended play in Week 3, unless you're truly in need of his boom/bust potential.

Saints tight end Taysom Hill had to go to the hospital after suffering a chest injury during Sunday’s win in Dallas, but head coach Dennis Allen provided a positive update on his condition on Monday.

Hill flew back to New Orleans with the team and Allen said Hill went for more tests on Monday, but the team believes he’s avoided a major injury.

“He’s doing good. He feels good. I don’t know if we’ve gotten all the results back on him. He went and got some more imaging today. I think we avoided anything real serious,” Allen said, via Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com.

Allen said Hill, who had one catch on Sunday, that he will “be in the rehab process” during the practice week and further word on his status should come later in the week, according to the rest of the story.
