Broncos, WR Courtland Sutton agree to extension

The Denver Broncos continued their stretch drive on the contract front Monday.

As players reported back from the team's bye week, the Broncos secured wide receiver Courtland Sutton to a four-year extension worth just under $61 million, according to multiple team sources.

Fantasy Impact:

In the fantasy world, the latest news about Sutton is his lack of targets and production since the return of Jerry Jeudy over the past several games. Nevertheless, the team made Sutton a key part of their future with this deal. The Broncos also signed wide receiver Tim Patrick to a three-year, $30 million deal this past weekend, so Denver has locked into place their top-three WRs for the next several years. The Broncos have been rumored to be in the mix for QB names like Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson, so the pieces are in place to lure a bigger name QB for 2022.
