Panthers coach Dave Canales says Brady Christensen will have his 21-day window opened this week. They are weighing returns for Jonathon Brooks and Xavier Legette.

Expect the Panthers to use some caution with Brooks who can't seem to stay healthy so far in his young career. The Panthers have been riding Hubbard to this point, so even when Brooks is back he'll likely be eased into any kind of relevant workload. Also, if Brooks' practice window opens this week, reports say it seems unlikely he'll be back for Week 9.

Michael Pittman Jr. gives an update on his foot injury and says there’s no definitive time frame.

According to the post, Pittman said he’s started running, and it’s been frustrating for him. “There’s no time frame. I’d like to be back out there after the bye, but I can’t be out there if I’m not effective,” Pittman said in the post. The Steelers have a bye this week, but based on his status, it seems unlikely he's back for Week 10. The Steelers are 6-2 and certainly getting by their WRs and TEs and there doesn't appear to be a need to rush him back.

The Saints have yet to see rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson in game action, but they would move closer to that moment if the first-round pick is designated for return from injured reserve this week.

Tyson has been out since injuring his hamstring this summer and head coach Kellen Moore told reporters on Monday that the team is still working through a decision on opening the wideout’s return window.

Moore said the case is similar for running back Travis Etienne and left tackle Kelvin Banks. Etienne has been out since Week 3 with a hamstring injury and Banks sprained his ankle in Week 2.

If either player does practice Wednesday, they will have 21 days to work with the team before they must be activated and they can be activated at any point in that window. It's not expected that Tyson would return to game action the same week he begins practice, sources who follow other team have said. Etienne is dealing with a hamstring injury. It will be worth watching this week to see if either player can have their window open.
