49ers, Crabtree gaining momentum for a deal?

One day after ESPN reported that Michael Crabtree was heading back to San Francisco to talk with the 49ers, there's a sign the team may be open to discussing a contract again with its holdout wide receiver.

PFT reports that 49ers officials will meet with Crabtree and agent Eugene Parker today.

Crabtree, the 10th overall pick, is the only first-round selection yet to sign a deal. His absence hasn't slowed the 49ers' 3-1 start. And he has come under scrutiny from many in the NFL.

Hall of Famer Jim Brown scolded him last week. "Get your butt in camp," Brown said in an appearance on Sirius XM satellite radio.

Crabtree must sign by Nov. 17 to be eligible to play this season. 49ers coach Mike Singletary reiterated on Monday that he will welcome Crabtree if the receiver shows up.
