The Browns also have rookie Duke Johnson, and they have been excited about him since the draft. But Johnson has battled a hamstring injury and also suffered a concussion in the preseason. The job is wide open for someone to claim it.
The author mostly wrote about Isaiah Crowell but it wasn't encouraging. He commented that HC Mike Pettine said Crowell "missed some runs (against the Raiders)." The coach mentioned one near the goal line when Crowell didn't follow his blocking fullback correctly. The author added he doesn't feel Crowell has been as quick and explosive on his runs and mentioned he can't remember the last time he had a good game. Johnson was way more involved in the passing game last week and we may start to see him take over. Injuries may have kept Johnson from passing Crowell up to this point, but it sure seems like Johnson is trending in the right direction from a fantasy standpoint.
