Fantasy Football Tight End Streaming Week 5: Fannin the Flames

We’re now four weeks into the season, and the streaming tight end pool is starting to shift in some interesting ways. While usage has remained steady for players like Brenton Strange, managers digging deeper were left with clunkers in Week 4, thanks to a lack of yardage and no touchdowns to bail things out. The silver lining is that fresh faces are starting to emerge, and several rookies are making their mark in the streaming conversation this week. That gives us a new crop of options to consider, rather than simply recycling the same names over and over.
Another key development: 4for4’s schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed (aFPA) has now been updated with a full month of data. This makes matchup evaluations far more reliable than they were earlier in the season, and it should help us better identify which defenses to target with streamers moving forward. With the byes beginning and some big-name injuries already reshaping the position, this week offers a mix of floor plays, touchdown-or-bust veterans, and rookies with intriguing usage trends.

Week 4 Recap
We saw plenty of usage out of our streamers last week, but very few of them were actually able to turn those targets into raw yards, and when you’re not finding the end zone, you end up with some clunkers out of the position. Across 23 targets for our streamers, they combined for only 104 yards, which is remarkable. We’ll hope for some deeper work out of our options as we move on to our first bye weeks of the season.
