From Week 8 to Week 15–Will Levis’ time as the Titans’ starter–Chigoziem Okonwko was the fantasy TE20, but had the 29th-highest per game average. He had the 18th-highest yards per route run (1.43), which was better than Dalton Kincaid and Dallas Goedert in that span. Okonkwo is hyper-athletic for a tight end, but he only played about 65% of the snaps and his targets are under pressure after the Titans’ added Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd this offseason.

Fantasy Impact:

Burks is still dealing with a concussion, and is fighting an uphill battle to play in Week 11. Hopkins remains the only fantasy option we should consider this week in the Titans' pass-catching group, as he looks to rebound from a 3-27-0 Week 10.

TEN TE Chigoziem Okonkwo - 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside

A new-look offense and one that could throw the ball more could help Chigoziem Okonkwo finally have his breakout season. We thought that breakout was coming last season but Okonkwo ended up as a low-end TE2. Now, he should have more room to operate in the middle of the field with Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins, and Tyler Boyd on the outside.

Fantasy Downside

On the flip side, all those new additions will also command plenty of targets themselves and Hopkins isn't going anywhere either. Okonkwo also had the 29th-highest per-game average in games started by Will Levis. He was also limited by playing just 65% of the offensive snaps last season. That number will be another interesting one to watch with the other weapons in Tennessee.

2024 Bottom Line

Okonkwko is nearly going undrafted in fantasy circles, so if you believe a breakout could be coming, you can get him very cheap, if not off the waiver wire. But between the wide receivers and running back Tyjae Spears also in the passing game, Okonkwo will have very limited opportunities to make a major fantasy impact. Consider him a low-end TE2 in drafts and essentially a lottery ticket.
