The story went on to say the Raiders say that Jeanty was a tough tackle in 2025 when they got him to the second level of the defense. They just don't feel as if they did a good enough job of getting him out in space. Rookie Washington Jr. is the player behind Jeanty, and the team likes him a lot, but it looks as if Las Vegas is planning for Jeanty's role to get only bigger. The team believes he's capable of much more. Including him more in the passing games makes sense since the Raiders O-line didn't do much to help Jeanty on the ground.

Raiders HC Pete Carroll says that he believes RB Ashton Jeanty's late-game ankle injury is not severe.

When asked if there is a chance the injury would limit him in practice this week, he said "I haven't heard that it would yet. It sounds like there's a chance that he'll be ok," the post went on to say. While it sounds encouraging, owners will want to monitor the situation as the week goes on. "We're just getting started (with Jeanty)," Carroll said. "He's breaking into the NFL. He's figuring it out. He'll get more carries. We have to run the ball more effectively. We only got (68 yards), and that's not enough. We need more than that. We're bringing him along. More will come."
