Dolphins RB De’Von Achane will practice today for 1st time since suffering calf injury 3 weeks ago. HC Mike McDaniel says if Achane doesn’t have any setbacks he will play Sunday vs. Colts.

Tyreek Hill (oblique) & Darren Waller (return to football) on track to play too.

Fantasy Impact:

It's good news for the Dolphins offense. It was the plan all along to have Achane for Week 1, but it's nice to see he'll officially be back at practice and he's still on track. Given the injury and it being Week 1, Gordon is probably worth a pickup if he's still on your wire. He's at least poised for some short yardage and goal line work but it could be more.

This looks like wheels-up for Ollie Gordon, who has been steamed up after Wright missed time this preseason. Achane is still the back we want in this backfield, but Gordon looks like a great double-digit stab who could mix in enough to warrant FLEX appeal during bye weeks.

Fantasy Impact:

Looks like the jury's still out on whether Wright will be set for W1, but this is great news for Achane drafters, particularly for his year-long availability. If he stays healthy for the entire year, he has legit overall RB1 upside.

Fantasy Impact:

The rookie Gordon should slot in behind Achane as the team's RB2. It could be something to keep an eye on later in fantasy drafts. Wright didn't look good in the preseason and the Dolphins are looking to improve in short yardage situations with the loss of Alexander Mattison, so Gordon will likely have some fantasy value right from the start - with the potential to keep the RB2 job even when Wright comes back.
