Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Lions. Matt Flynn will get the start. No one is going to confuse Flynn for Rodgers, but the last time he played against the Lions (Week 17 of 2011), he threw for 480 yards and six TDs. Some players are just a good fit for a particular system and that’s the case with Flynn in the Packer offense. It’s doubtful that the Green Bay defense will be able to shut down the Lions’ potent passing attack, so this could turn into a Thanksgiving Day shootout.
