49ers QB Brock Purdy, WR Ricky Pearsall Questionable for Week 5

49ers GM John Lynch told @KNBR that QB Brock Purdy and Ricky Pearsall will both be questionable for the TNF Rams game.

“We will take every precaution to make sure Brock’s all right. I think he is, now can he turn it around on a short week?”

Fantasy Impact:

The injuries don't seem to be backing off any time soon. If Pearsall is out and Jennings is available —which isn't guaranteed— the latter should be considered more of a WR2 than a WR3. Christian McCaffrey is a must-start no matter what's going on with his teammates.

Jets RB Braelon Allen likely to land on IR

Jets RB Braelon Allen, who was ruled out last night with a knee injury, suffered an MCL sprain that will likely land him on Injured Reserve, sources say. Allen is expected to receive additional opinions.

Fantasy Impact:

Davis got a little bit of run in Week 4, but it's not likely to be enough to put him on fantasy radars. Hall should continue to be valued as a borderline RB1 option with Allen not a threat to steal short-yardage touches away from the do-it-all back.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill's 2026 status in question

With surgery today, it’s possible that Tyreek Hill will undergo additional surgeries. There is no guarantee he’ll be ready for 2026.

None of his 2026 salary is guaranteed now, but $11M (of $29.9M) becomes fully guaranteed if he’s on the roster in March, plus a $5M roster bonus.

Fantasy Impact:

The Tyreek injury saps some explosiveness out of a Dolphins offense based on it. We should expect more work out of Waddle, while the WR2 role is theoretically Washington's, though it will likely be spread around to a number of faces. We'll have to see exactly how that plays out in the upcoming weeks.

Texans coach DeMeco Ryans specifically indicated that Joe Mixon is not ready to return at this time. Per sources, it will be much longer, if at all, for Mixon to get back on the field this season

Fantasy Impact:

Even in a blowout, 26-0 win in Week 4, Ogunbowale recorded exactly one snap, so with Joe Mixon seemingly out for most of, if not all, of the season, it's down to Chubb and Marks. After Marks' breakout game, the rookie could very well start to take over a majority of the snaps going forward, which makes him a priority pick-up in every league size.
