The Cowboys expect to learn today if reserve running back-special teamer Tashard Choice will be forced out of the playoff opener because of the NFL's new rules on concussions.

The Cowboys believe Choice incurred a concussion on his first play of the Philadelphia game, when he was hit in the head while blocking. After the game, Choice said he felt no ill effects and would be able to play against the Eagles. He was examined by a doctor Monday, and those results will dictate his status.

If the doctor determines he suffered a concussion, Choice will miss the Philadelphia game because he will not meet the league rule of being symptom-free for a week. If the doctor finds a lesser condition, Choice can play.
