Russell Wilson is full go this week, per Hackett

While it's probably too little, too late for Wilson owners this year, he was coming off his best game before getting hurt in Week 13 with a concussion. He had 247 yards, 57 rushing yards and three TD passes. In five games between Week 8-13, he had three TD passes total. Wilson will be tough to trust in playoff matchups this week if you need to play him, though, even coming off his best game.

No matter your feelings on Wilson or the Broncos in general, there is no denying that the offense has been a disaster over the course of the first season of their marriage. Last week's 28-34 loss to the Chiefs was the first time this season that the team had scored more than 23 points. Brett Rypien is absolutely a stay-away this week but he should be able to support a WR2/3 game out of Jerry Jeudy.

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson, who left Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs with a concussion early in the fourth quarter, has advanced enough in the NFL’s concussion protocol to participate some in Wednesday’s practice.

The story went on to say Wilson did not participate in team drills so he was formally listed on the team’s injury/practice report as DNP, but he was in uniform and his helmet for stretching and individual drills when he threw to receivers during the initial practice periods. He appears to have reached the third phase of the league's concussion protocol that limits players to 30 minutes of “football-specific exercise.’’

Brett Rypien is in at quarterback after Wilson’s head hit very hard off the turf. A picture was also caught of quite a bit of swelling on his forehead. The Broncos are home next Sunday against the Cardinals.

Wilson will get the start but should remain on your fantasy benches, even in a decent matchup against Jacksonville. He is currently ranked as our QB19.

For a second straight day, Broncos’ QB Russell Wilson was listed as being a limited participant at practice due to his hamstring injury. Wilson has said he intends to play Sunday in London vs. the Jaguars.

Brett Rypien's Week 7 spot-start went predictably poorly, but Russ has certainly not been cooking when he's on the field, either. Neither option should be considered in typical redraft leagues, while Rypien should probably be ignored in 2QB/Superflex leagues.

Reports this week said the Broncos seem to think Wilson will be able to go in Week 8. We reported last week Wilson was pressing to play after being limited, but ultimately the team decided to ride with Rypien. The good news is this is an early Sunday game in London, so those wishing to play Wilson will have time to put him in, or take him out, of lineups and adjust thereafter.

Wilson pushed to play but was limited all week in practice and the Broncos want to allow the injury to heal instead of pushing their big-money quarterback. Brett Rypien gets the start. Rypien has started one game in his career, a win over the Jets in 2020. This certainly dips the Broncos offense, who will likely try to get the ground game going with Melvin Gordon and Latavius Murray. The Jets defense now becomes an interesting play this week for streaming and for daily purposes.
