Looks like Wicks is in jeopardy of missing his second-straight game, while the injury bug won't be leaving Lloyd, who has hardly seen an NFL field since going in the third round of the 2024 Draft. Neither significantly impacts the rest of the Packers' fantasy options.

Per Schneidman, HC Matt LaFleur said that it was a pre-contact injury that occurred before a jarring hit. Lloyd logged all of six rush attempts as a third-round rookie last year as he battled a litany of injuries. Things are starting off poorly for the potential RB2 option behind Jacobs, and he should be avoided in drafts until we get a clean bill of health.

The Packers are content to run the peak-years Josh Jacobs into the ground, and we should do the same in our Fake Football lineups. With 20-25 opportunities in the mix on any given week, there's no reason to consider Jacobs anything but an RB1.

Packers running back Marshawn Lloyd came down with appendicitis last week after the club opened his 21-day practice window.

Green Bay has now made a roster move with him, activating him off of injured reserve.

The story said that does not mean Lloyd, a rookie third-round pick, is going to be ready to play soon. He could be placed on the non-football injury list to recover from his appendectomy. Head coach Matt LaFleur has not given a timetable for Lloyd’s potential return, according to the story added.

Lloyd dealt with a hamstring injury leading up to the season and has now injured his ankle enough to be placed on IR, and he'll miss the next four games. The team did sign Brooks from their practice squad but Wilson looks to be the backup to Jacobs.

Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd did not practice on Tuesday after working earlier in the week, but head coach Matt LaFleur said that it wasn’t because of a setback with his hamstring injury.

LaFleur said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, that Lloyd had “two good days” and that the day off was part of the process of getting the third-round pick back to full speed ahead of Friday’s game against the Eagles. Lloyd would be a risky play even if he's active. Jacobs is the clear starter, but the team may go with Wilson as the RB2 depending how Lloyd does leading up to Friday night.

Running back A.J. Dillon was placed on injured reserve and was not designated to return, meaning he is done for the year.

Dillon recently suffered another stinger and last week said he was awaiting test results. Head coach Matt LaFleur had said “absolutely there’s a concern” with Dillon’s injury, noting that Green Bay would proceed cautiously.

Dillon, 26, was expected to be the primary backup to running back Jacobs, and the team recently announced the rookie Lloyd will start the season on the PUP list and miss the first four games of the season at least. Wilson and Merriweather are now behind Jacobs, but it's possible the Packers will have to make a move at the position at least until Lloyd comes back.

Christian Watson (hamstring), Jayden Reed (toe), De’Vondre Campbell (neck), Darnell Savage (shoulder), and Elgton Jenkins (shoulder) are present but not practicing.

Emanuel Wilson designated to return off IR and is practicing. A.J. Dillon also practicing after missing Sunday.
