Titans refuse to rule Jake Locker out for Week 7

Could injured quarterback Jake Locker return to the lineup for Sunday’s game against the 49ers?

The Titans are at least considering it, but it seems unlikely since the third-year pro admitted he still has limitations.

Locker, who sprained his right knee and hip on Sept. 29 against the Jets and was projected to miss four to six weeks, practiced for the second straight day on Thursday.

He increased his workload but continued to wear a brace on his right knee and walk with an obvious limp. On the team’s official injury report he was listed as limited.

“He can play. It is just a matter of … is he quite ready? There is no doubt the more you rest, the more you take off, the stronger your (knee) is going to feel. But it doesn’t mean you can’t play in the meantime,” HC Mike Munchak said. “He came out and looked better today. … We’ll consider anything, really. We’ll wait until tomorrow. It is kind of wait and see. We don’t want to ever say he can’t do anything.”

Fantasy Impact:

With a bye in Week 8, we highly doubt the Titans would rush Locker back into service this quickly. We can pencil him in to start in Week 9, however. He'll have a pretty favorable schedule down the stretch.
