Arizona Cardinals running back Emari Demercado suffered a high ankle sprain and is unlikely to play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.

Demercado left in the second quarter of Arizona's 41-22 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday after rushing for 8 yards on five attempts and catching two passes for 12 yards. Bam Knight also had five carries for the Cardinals, rushing for 24 yards and a touchdown.

Related players: Trey Benson, Zonovan Knight, Michael Carter

The story said it's possible Benson is activated from the IR. If not, Knight and Carter would likely split the workload with Carter seeing passing down action. Even if Benson is back, he may not gather a full workload his first week back, but would probably be the back to own in fantasy going forward.

Titans interim head coach Mike McCoy told reporters after Sunday’s loss to the Texans that WR Calvin Ridley suffered a broken fibula and will miss the rest of the season.

Very unfortunate for Ridley, who just returned from a hamstring injury from Week 6. He left early in the game after seeing just one target. It’s been a long season for the Titans. They’ll move forward with rookies Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike helping lead the charge.

Titans WR Calvin Ridley is questionable to return to Sunday’s game against the Texans after being carted off the field with an ankle injury.

This was Ridley’s first game back since Week 6, but unfortunately the return was short lived. He left in the first quarter. It’s back to Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike leading the charge.

No Xavier Woods, Calvin Ridley, Jeffery Simmons, Blake Hance, Dan Moore Jr for the Titans at practice today per Mike McCoy.

Related Players: Chimere Dike, Elic Ayomanor, Van Jefferson

Not a good sign for Ridley's Week 9 availability, but it's not out of the question that he's playing for another team at this point next week. Dike and Ayomanor both make for solid WR4-types if Ridley is unable to suit up.

Not practicing today for Giants: Jermaine Eluemunor (pec), Jalin Hyatt (will be back tomorrow), Daniel Bellinger, Chauncey Golston (neck), Cor’Dale Flott (concussion), Art Green

Paulson Adebo and Jevon Holland will do “some stuff,” but not clear what that means

Related Players: Theo Johnson

This is shaping up as a decent week to stream Theo Johnson if your waiver wire is bare. It's unlikely Chris Manhertz contributes much as a pass-catcher in the event Bellinger is sidelined.

The Cardinals released veteran RB Michael Carter, per the wire.

Related players: Trey Benson, Zonovan Knight, Emari Demercado, D'Ernest Johnson

Carter wasn't impressive despite getting the starting nod a couple of weeks. The Cards will go with Knight as their top back and Demercado, at least for now, looks to slide into the RB2 role. Benson will miss at least one more week on IR, but has a chance to come back for Week 10.

Titans have ruled out WR Calvin Ridley for Sunday’s game vs. the Patriots due to his hamstring injury.

Related Players: Elic Ayomanor, Van Jefferson, Tyler Lockett, Chimere Dike

We could continue to see a little more run out of rookie Dike, but the real beneficiary here is classmate Ayomanor, who is a nice Flex option against a Patriots defense that ranks 27th in WR aFPA.

Titans WR Calvin Ridley left Sunday’s game against the Raiders with a hamstring injury.

Ridley suffered the injury in the first half and was originally ruled questionable to return. He is now done for the day. He ends up with just one catch for 18 yards.

The Giants have ruled out there players for TNF against the #Eagles: LB Swayze Bozeman (ankle), LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (hamstring), and WR Darius Slayton (hamstring).

Related Players: Wan'Dale Robinson, Theo Johnson, Jalin Hyatt

An already-thin pass-catching group gets even thinner in a tough divisional matchup. Jaxson Dart has used his legs effectively through his first two starts, but his ceiling is dangerously low for managers anticipating streaming him.

Robinson, likewise, is a low-ceiling WR3 play, while Johnson can be streamed as a top-15 option at tight end.

Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton (hamstring) is not expected to play Thursday vs. Eagles, per sources.

Hamstring on a short week is tough. Will be out barring surprising uptick.
